Lohan fur coat scandal: the latest

Lindsay Lohan has turned down a nightclub owner's offer to bail her out of her latest legal tangle, which revolves, almost literally, around a fur coat. Model Masha Markova has taken her case to Manhattan's State Supreme Court, claiming Lohan stole her $11,000 mink coat as she left a New York nightclub after a party in January. The coat mysteriously returned, but only after photos appeared of Lohan wearing an identical coat... on the same night. Doesn't look good, does it? This week in a quite astonishingly shameless act of self-publicity, nightclub boss John Englebert offered to settle the case for Lindsey, and buy her a mink coat of her own. Unsurprisingly, the actress rejected his offer. Her representative says, "She already has one." Still, free stuff!
