David Mitchell would like to be Doctor Who

Course it's high time we had a female Doctor, but failing that depressingly unlikely ideal situation perhaps the stocky, hang-dog Peep Show star would be an equally refreshing change. David told The Sun: "I’d love to be in Doctor Who... I’d quite like to be Doctor Who and that’s the trouble. But I don’t think I’d stand much chance. Nowadays they have to be attractive. In the old Doctor Who you couldn’t ever imagine any of them playing James Bond but in the new Doctor Who they’re all attractive and you could imagine them being James Bond. Tom Baker would never get off with Adric. He didn’t want that."
