Kent Devey, who purchased a Blackberry on eBay for £16, could not believe his luck when he found out he had 50 celebrity contacts including Hollywood stars Julie Walters and Kevin Spacey!
Rummaging through the rest of the address book, the 28-year-old found out he had over 50 mobile numbers and emails, featuring the likes of Natalie Portman, Jude Law, Stephen Fry, Louis Walsh, Julianne Moore and Paul O'Grady.
Kent, from Oldbury, near Birmingham, said: "I wanted a Blackberry so I could receive emails, I never expected I'd be able to email A-list celebrities though."
"I bought the phone for a really good price and it arrived a couple of days later. As I started to look through it, I noticed that one of the emails hadn't been wiped off.
"Then I started to go through the numbers already saved on the phone, and as I scrolled through I started to recognise some of the names and then I saw Jude Law's number.
"And then I came across Michael Gambon's number - he is one of my favourite actors so I felt pretty privileged."
The claims assistant was so shocked, he didn't believe it himself until he rang Julie Walters and got through to her answer phone.
"I told my brother and he didn't believe it, so we decided to ring a couple of the numbers. So when I got Julie Walters answer phone, I was speechless."
Other celebrities on the Blackberry include, Janet Street-Porter, Melvyn Bragg, Michael Attenborough, Neil Tenant, Christian Coulson, Richard Wilson, Tim Lovejoy, Alison Moyet, Beeban Kidron, Stephen Wright, Andrew Scott, Andrew Garfiled, Guardian critic Benedict Nightingale, playwrite Tom Stoppard, actor Ben Whishaw and Benny Medina, of Jennifer Lopez Enterprises.
