Russell Brand won't condemn Wossy

Russell-brandy wandyRussell Brand has said that he will not condemn Jonathan Ross for his role in last year's controversial phone call made to Andrew Sachs on his radio show. The presenter and DJ told newspaper, The Times, that "forensic analysis" had been applied to the incident, which he called "trivial".

Brand said: "I have a relationship on air with Jonathan and also I've got a friendship with him. I love him and admire him enormously and will say nothing to condemn him, he's a lovely, warm, generous bloke, he was just showing off and being a twit."

He added: "When I think of that moment of Andrew Sachs putting on his answerphone and hearing it and being a bit upset, that makes me think it was horrible, and my response to that was to write a letter in which I sincerely apologised for that moment.

"It's unfortunate this incident is over something where I don't have rectitude, because I'm up for a confrontation with the Daily Mail."
