A Los Angeles judge has ruled that Michael Jackson's father will not inherit any of his son's assets. Joe Jackson had taken legal action over Michael's estate after discovering that he was not named in the will. BBC News reports that Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff has now dismissed the 80-year-old's objection, insisting that Michael's wishes must be respected.
Beckloff is quoted as saying in court: "I don't think he gets to step into this and create further litigation. Joe Jackson takes none of this estate. This is a decision his son made."
The judge also rejected the talent manager's attempt to challenge the appointment of lawyer John Branca and music executive John McClain as administrators of the estate.
Michael, who passed away on June 25, left his assets to his mother Katherine, three children and various charities.
