2009 has the dubious honour of being the one most filled with surprising deaths. The most recent, and in it's own way, the most shocking, was the passing of Brittany Murphy. 32 years old is no age to go out. Now, the husband of the late actress has spoken about how his world was "destroyed" when she died on Sunday. British screenwriter Simon Monjack, who married Murphy in 2007, said that his wife was "tired" and suffering from laryngitis in the days leading to her death.
"My world was destroyed yesterday," he told Access Hollywood.
LA's assistant chief coroner Ed Winter yesterday said that Murphy's death appeared to be "natural" and that her family had reported that she had been ill before her death.
Stars such as Ashton Kutcher, Denise Richards, Kirstie Alley and Alicia Silverstone have paid their respects to the Clueless and 8 Mile star.
