Cheryl Cole (the Queen of English Pop Culture, 2009) and Nadine Coyle (er..) have apparently made a New Year's resolution to put all those quibbles and past differences behind them and make nice in this glorious New Year (as an aside, Happy New Year to you dear reader!). The Girls Aloud stars allegedly spent more than an hour on the phone on Christmas Eve and vowed to make a fresh start in 2010. That's nice isn't it? More than once this year, I've been trying to work out whether Girls Aloud could continue if one of them left. For the time being, it seems like we don't need to worry.
"It all started with a text message that Nadine sent to Cheryl wishing her a happy Christmas," a source told the Daily Star.
"Cheryl texted her straight back and the next thing you know they were on the phone having a real heart to heart.
"It has been months since the girls had any real contact apart from passing comments in a recording studio."
Coyle recently hit out at reports that she is "at war" with Cole, insisting that she was pleased with the success of her bandmate's debut solo album 3 Words. It's also worth noting that Coyle will have her own solo LP in July.
