Russell Brand has apparently (we have to say that just in case our sources are big fat liars) confirmed his engagement to bombshell pop singer Katy Perry. Brand verified reports that he had proposed to Perry during a spiritual ceremony on New Year's Eve in India. That sounds... well... typically gaga celebrity fluff doesn't it? But I guess it's kinda nice.
Brand reportedly texted: "It's true. Much love" when asked if the rumours were true.
The comedian is believed to have given Perry a ring after being seen shopping at a London jewellers and allegedly told a friend: "Katy's managed to tame me. This is it - I'm completely in love."
On Boxing Day, Brand wrote on his Twitter page: "Tonight I turned off my famous, hedonistic hot-tub, a monumental event. I did it for climate change. In every sense."
The couple are said to be celebrating their engagement in Thailand.
