Cole has just been offered a pay rise of double her previous wage to appear in this year's X Factor. The
deal is so lucrative that it would make her the highest paid female on British
television, the Sun reports.
A source told the tabloid: "Cheryl is being tempted with a bigger salary and if she takes it then it won't look like she's failed in the US."
We'd be more than tempted if our wages were doubled. Maybe we should take the job instead? No? OK.
As for Chezza's X Factor partner in crime - the high-waisted trouser wearing music mogul that is Simon Cowell - it's rumoured that he's in talks with the big wigs at ITV that he'll be featured in both the UK and the US versions of the reality show this autumn.
