While Kelly Rowland was seemingly the last to know about Frankie Cocozza's departure from the X Factor yesterday, head judge (and Cocozza's former mentor) Gary Barlow has had a few hours to think things over before speaking to the world.
In an official statement from the Take That singer, Barlow said he was "hugely disappointed" about Cocozza leaving the show.
He added: "Frankie has apologised publicly as well as personally to me and the producers for his actions that led to him leaving the show.
"I hope Frankie continues to look to me as a friend and supporter and
works it all out, picks himself up and somehow tries to turn this into a
positive."
