Dancing on Ice judge Jason Gardiner has told his Twitter followers that he was mugged by two youths in London last night.

He tweeted: "Tonight I was mugged by two hooded black youths in Stockwell who held a knife to my throat and threatened to kill me all for an iPhone!!

"Apart from being shaken I'm fine! I'm saddened more than anything and disgusted with where our society is heading."

He later hit back at a Twitter follower who said that it was "not really necessary" to say the attackers were black.

"Yes it is. Its not racist its a vital fact in case anyone can help and report them to the police!" he tweeted.

Dancing on Ice is set to return for a seventh series next year, and Sugababe Heidi Range, ex-Brookside star Jennifer Ellison, fashion designer (and Kate Moss' BF) Sadie Frost and 90s singer, Chesney Hawkes have all been tipped to go head-to-head in the skating comp.
