Strange story of the day: Johnny Depp wants his ashes made in to whisky

It's definitely been a week of strange old stories, and this one's no different.

Johnny Depp has revealed that he'd like his ashes put in a drum of whisky so mourners can drink from it when he dies.

Apparently inspired by his late friend, author Hunter S Thompson - whose book The Rum Diaries has recently been made in to a film with Johnny playing the lead - the star told The Sun: "I could go in a whisky cask and everyone can take a sip."

When Hunter died in 2005, Johnny paid for his ashes to be fired in to the sky from a cannon as he had always wanted.
