Adele nominated for 6 Grammys
She's currently recovering from throat surgery, but that hasn't stopped Adele from fighting off Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj to receive six nominations at last night's Grammy's Concert Nominations Special in Los Angeles.
The singer's nominations include album of the year for the 4.5m selling '21', and record and song of the year for 'Rolling in the Deep'. Bruno Mars and the Foo Fighters also received six nominations, but it was Kayne West who really stole the show with seven - although his album with Jay-Z was ignored. Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Bon Iver and Mumford and Sons are also shortlisted for next year's prestigious awards.
The news most come as a relief to Adele as she was forced to cancel the American leg of her tour due to a hemorrhaged vocal chord earlier this year.
We'll have to wait until February to find out if she takes the gongs and - more importantly - whether Kayne will get his knickers in a twist again.
In the meantime, find out who she's up against here.
