This is one duel that we would love to see. Although Lindsay Lohan keeps telling everyone that will listen that she would love to play screen icon, Elizabeth Taylor in a new biopic, it seems she has some competition - from Megan Fox.
'Liz and Dick' (please tell us this is a working title) executive producer, Larry Thompson told E! news that he's keeping his options open when it comes to casting the lead role. He said: "I've been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox."
We reckon he's trying to figure out whether Li-Lo will actually bother turning up to filming.
"It's a very serious selection", the dude with all the power added. "It's like casting for Hollywood royalty."
No need for the metaphor, Larry. It is casting for Hollywood royalty. That's why we're surprised no-one's mentioned Michelle Williams after her Golden Globes win for portraying Marilyn Monroe.
So far it seems 2012 will be the year of biopic. On the big screen, Leonardo DiCaprio is about to pop-up as J.Edgar, while Madonna's film W.E has already won big at the Golden Globes. The BBC are also apparently planning a Nelson Mandela drama.
