Is it just us or does Liam Hemsworth look like a cardboard cut-out in this picture? No wonder Miley Cyrus is checking she's not made of wood...

The film we're literally ravenous to see got its premiere in LA last night, but the celebrity world clearly wasn't feeling as hungry for its release as us.

Okay, we'll stop with the terrible puns already.

Miley Cyrus sparkled as she supported boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne); best friend Kelly Osbourne posed for the cameras in rather vampy get-up; lead actress Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) proved that she's one to watch in the fashion stakes - oh and Sylvester Stallone brought his family along - but the rest of Hollywood clearly had a more important date on a Monday night.

Odd for the premiere of the first installment of a trilogy already being touted as the new Twilight, no? Maybe they'd got their hands on the Twilight Breaking Dawn Part One DVD?

Anyway, we can't wait to see how Lionsgate have adapted Suzanne Collins' book trilogy which is set in the post-apocalyptic nation of Panem and is all about around teenagers fighting to the death on live television.
