Adele set to dominate at Ivor Novello awards

She's recently been confirmed as Britain's richest musician under 30 and now Adele is set to dominate the prestigious Ivor Novello awards. This might not be the awards that everyone has heard of and James Corden isn't presenting (some might say that's a blessing). This is the awards for the industry rather than for consumers so it's the one that really means a lot to musicians. Jedward might be popular, but they're not going to win a Novello award ever. No, not even for Lipstick.

So what's Adele up for?

Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You are up for the same award - Most Performed Song. (They're both up against Take That's The Flood and that got a lot of action after Robbie rejoined.)

Rolling in the Deep is also up for best song musically and lyrically.

Her album 21 is also up for nomination for Best Album.

The awards takes place next month. Do you think Adele will pick up a few more gongs for her collection? She's already got two Brits and six Grammys. Come on, let someone else play!
