Alexandra Burke increases police protection after Twitter threats
Singer Alexandra Burke is under police protection after she was on the receiving end of threatening messages on the social network Twitter. She's said to be left fearing for her safety after the messages and ramped up security at her lip gloss launch earlier in the week.
The unsavoury messages including tweets such as "I'm going to kill you tonight." and "prepare to die".
Sources told Metro that the Police agreed to meet Alexandra outside London's Rose club ahead of of the event. Everyone seems to be being a little more vigilant after Leona Lewis was attacked last year and Burke's record label 'aren't taking any chances'.
The police say they're looking into the tweets, but Alexandra's brother seems to be fighting back already - leaving tweets on the social network saying 'I dare you to bring harm to Alex'.
But, Alexandra appears to be fine and was apparently relaxed at the event, which went off without a hitch.
