She might be storming the music world, but Adele isn't making any waves in the fashion industry. Her Vogue cover is apparently one of the worst sellers in the magazine's history.
Vogue's UK editor Alexandra Shulman spoke at an event called Fashion and Fantasy: What's in Vogue and Why Does It Matter? last night about the cover. 'Adele is the most popular woman in the world, but one of the worst sellers we've ever had.'
The magazine's editor also admitted that music stars had in general been quite bad sellers, and that she'd love to get Kate Middleton on the cover. The Duchess of Cambridge really would be the ultimate cover girl, wouldn't she?
"I assure you, it's not for want of asking."
