The Voice and Britain's Got Talent set to clash after scheduling row
It would appear that Simon Cowell isn't playing fair with the BBC (has he ever played fair at anything?) The scheduling row between The Voice and Britain's Got Talent is set to continue as their shows will overlap by 15 minutes on Sunday.
Simon brought the BGT final forward and ITV bosses insist that it was consistent with previous years. But this means it will clash with The Voice's third live episode, and they're already getting beaten by BGT in the ratings.
ITV have now back down (mostly) and there will be just a 15 minute overlap. But BBC bosses still aren't happy with that and are calling ITV 'disingenuous' and accusing them of dirty tricks, according to Metro.
It was actually The Voice that was doing better than Britain's Got Talent, so ITV swapped the the scheduling time of BGT and watched their ratings soar. They filled the gap by scheduling Emmerdale at the same time as the BBC talent show's results episode, and the guys at The Voice certainly weren't happy about that (but then, no one was happy about their 'live' results anyway).
It's all a bit of a talent show drama, and sometimes we do like when the action continues off camera. So which gets you reaching for the remote? The Voice, or Britain's Got Talent?
