Ashlee Simpson has reportedly bought six pairs of size zero jeans to motivate her to shift her baby weight once she gives birth.

The singer - who is expecting her first child with husband Pete Wentz - is reportedly so worried about shifting her post-pregnancy pounds that she purchased the tiny trousers to help her stay focused.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: "Ashlee broke down in tears at a doctor's appointment in early August when she found out she's gained more weight than is considered in the healthy range.

"She went straight to the Planet Blue shop in Los Angeles and bought six pairs of size zero jeans. She can't wear them now, but she hopes it will give her the incentive to watch what she eats."

Ashlee, 23, recently revealed she "can't wait" for her baby to be born.

She said: "We're getting the nursery ready. I can't wait to be a mom and he can't wait to be a dad, so it's fun.

"I have the greatest husband. He's so awesome. It's fun to have somebody that I love to do this with. The baby is my main focus right now. We're both so excited. I mean, this is definitely the happiest moment in my life."

'Hannah Montana' star Miley Cyrus wants to babysit for Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson when they have their first child.

The 'Hannah Montana' star "worships" Ashlee - who is expecting her first child with husband Pete later this year - and was the first to offer to look after the as-yet-unborn baby.

Speaking to Pete at a taping of his US TV show 'F'N MTV', Miley said: "I just met your beautiful wife backstage. I worship her - I'll babysit!"

Meanwhile, raunchy new photographs of the 15-year-old multi-talented star have emerged on the internet.

Miley - who caused controversy when she posed 'topless' for Vanity Fair magazine earlier this year - is seen showing off her body in a tiny bikini and looking coquettishly over her shoulder while wearing little white hotpants in the pictures.

This is not the first time Miley has been involved in an internet scandal. There have been two sets of similar photos previously released, which are said to have come from a hacker who has found a way to access Miley's mobile phone and email accounts.

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson deny pregnancy rumours

Is a shot-gun wedding? That's what everyone (and by everyone, I mean me and a few other online nosey cows) is asking. Last week Fall Out Boy bassist and his pop puppet Ashlee Simpson declared their engagement. So what? Get in line folks as it seems that every celeb worth their entrance to Bungalow 8 has been getting in on the marriage lark, but now rumours of a possible pregnancy have made this couple's impending nuptials that little bit juicier.

OK! magazine and Us Weekly have both recently claimed that Jess' little sis has got a bun in the oven, but either they've got it all wrong or Pete isn't quite ready to tell Ashlee's notoriously overprotective pa Joe.

"There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood," wrote Pete in an email to MTV News (how completely not rock and roll of him). "This is all news to me. I can't wait for the story about how I'm really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover. ... I mean really, this is crazy. ... I mean we're engaged, that's true, and happy about it."

Mmm – what do we think Star Trippers? Are we being too cynical in thinking that there must be an ulterior motive here or do we suspect that Pete is plucking up the courage to go tell Ashlee's dad "he might want to sit down" any moment now?
