George Clooney's Spice-y movie

Georgeclooney Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell is "desperate" to get George Clooney and Brad Pitt to star in a new film based on her children's books 'Ugenia Lavender'.

Geri Halliwell is "desperate" to get George Clooney and Brad Pitt to star in her new film.

The former Spice Girl has revealed her plans to cast the Hollywood heartthrobs in the upcoming animated adaptation of her children's books 'Ugenia Lavender'.

She said: "I have not met Brad Pitt so realistically he's unlikely to take part but I am desperate to get the gorgeous George on board.

"I've got an actor character called Bradley Litt and a Dr. Clooney who delivers Ugenia's baby sister in a store called Garrods. Hmm, I wonder who and what these could be based on?!"

The ambitious 36-year-old star - who plans to voice the lead character Ugenia herself and is also penning an original Hollywood screenplay - also said she is keen to get British soccer star Wayne Rooney involved in her new project.

She added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Crazy Trevor, Ugenia's friend in the series, reminds me a lot of Wayne Rooney in both looks and personality.

"I am really hopeful he will agree to voice the part. I get the impression he'd be up for doing it just for fun."

Geri added: "George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Wayne Rooney - how's that for an A-list line-up?!"

Winehouse to perform for Hollywood stars

20070609_74366651cg024_isle_of_wighIf you were to host a fancy schmancy showbiz shindig, which star performer would you book to sing? Someone reliable. Someone charming and courteous. Someone not likely to rant about their incarcerated husband and forget their own lyrics. Apparently not, as rehab runaway Amy Winehouse is being courted to sing at a Hollywood bash thrown by top stars Julia Roberts and George Clooney.

The event is to be hosted by fashion icon Giorgio Armani and held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume in May. And how much could the Wino expect to pick up for her troubles? A whopping half a million pounds. Wow – those A-listers sure overpay for some off-key warbling and nervy dancing.

A source close to the Wino claims that "she hasn't really taken it in - and keeps saying that her life is getting more surreal by the second". That'll be all the drugs. The insider went on to explain how Armani wishes to chat to Amy about future collaborations. Who knew that ratty bee-hive wigs were so fashionable?

In the news: Charlotte Church has a girl and George Clooney crashes his motorbike

C55655charlottechurchposters - Charlotte Church gives birth to a bonny little girl. Gavin has informed people that Charlotte gave birth to a beautiful baby girl at home on Thursday night. Gavin was there at the birth, which is admirable though we can bet the Voice of an Angel star probably hit all the high notes. [RTE ]

-Britney Spears has another possible setback in her ongoing custody case, the infamous title of 'celebrity worst mother'. We at Star Trip of course aren't to surprised as we  already assigned her a place in our polls not to long ago, and Kerry Katona was second with the Jade Goody monster in third place. By placing Jade in third I have to admit to losing credulity for the voters as surely Asda loving Kerry can't be considered worse than children, what children, Jade?  [Digital Spy ]

-George Clooney has fractured a rib in a motorcycle accident. thankfully the Oceans 13 (and 11, and 12) star hasn't suffered any permanent damage, but this will probably teach him to stop pretending he's still a 20 something. His girlfriend, Larson, also broke her foot, but so far no injury claims have been made. [Reuters ]

-Noel Gallagher is one prod parent. Of course, every new father tends to think their bouncing bundle of joy the number one lad in the world, and every gurgle and cry they make revered and looked upon as the first and most profound mutterings ever, well Noel of course has to go one step further and pronounce his one week old son a legend. 'He shall go by the name of Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher and he will be a legend. Give thanks and praise', he texted friends. [Zee News ]

Stars do their bit for charity (again)

Celebs just love doing their bit for charity. Often this involves a pop concert or a telethon thingy, either way they want us to part with our cash for a good cause. This time the good cause is Amnesty International’s campaign to make some noise. The advert here features many the famous bod riffing on this theme in their own ‘quirky way’ and really is a case of blink-and-you-miss-em. It’s one of the pet projects of George Clooney and features everyone from top Hollywood stars like Tim Robbins and Joaquin Phoenix to Patrick Kielty. Yes, you read correctly – that Northern Irish ‘comedian’ from 'Fame Academy'. These charity adverts really do need to be discerning with the folks they enlist.

George Clooney loves lemonade

Georgeclooneyelle George Clooney is a pretty cool guy. Six-year-old Chandler, and his brothers, set up a lemonade stand near the set of Leatherheads, a movie that Clooney is directing, and starring in, thinking that they would get more business at that location. Clooney took some pictures with the boys' mom, and some of the other women near by. She offered him a free glass of lemonade, however, George insisted on paying and sent a member of his posse over with a $20 bill and did the non-embarrassing thing by letting them keep the change.

Personally, I think he should have at least broken out a $100 bill, but whatever. I also have theory that the boys' mom just wanted an opportunity to have her picture taken with George and used the lemonade stand as a ploy, but that's just because I'm dead inside.

Holy silver-haired lothario! George Clooney's Batman cape is on eBay...

Georgeclooneybatmancape And it's screen-worn, ladies. Yep, the cape was worn by George for the filming of 1997's 'Batman & Robin' movie, and it's an authentic midnight-blue colour, with its own special lining to keep The Cloon warm while fighting crime on a cold Gotham night. Oh, that's not him in the photo though, in case you were wondering. Bayraider found it on eBay for a not-batty $4,000. Also on Bayraider today: Britney Spears' dressing gown from her Crossroads movie, and a bunch of Nintendo Wii memorabilia.

Tabloid Tales: George Clooney and Ellen Barkin sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G

Clooneypitt It's a bit harsh to bang on about George Clooney taking up with "older woman" Ellen Barkin - she's 52 and he's 45, so it's hardly a generation gap! Anyway, the Mirror claims the two are an item, since palling up on the set of Ocean's 13. The two then bonded over stimulating conversation and motorbike rides (presumably not simultaneously, although George can probably afford helmet-to-helmet intercom technology). "She fancies him like mad and you can cut the sexual chemistry on set with a knife," a source tells the paper. So why Brad Pitt thinks he can try with his fingers in the picture on the left, I don't know...

Hoylake golf fanatics getting excited about George Clooney

Today's Guardian has an interesting piece about the village of Hoylake, in north-west England, going barmy for Hollywood stars. The village is near the venue for the Open golf tournament, which kicks off tomorrow. Well, drives off. Putts off. Something like that. Apparently George Clooney was spotted in a pub there on Sunday night, with assorted other sightings of Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Catherine Zeta Jones and Prince Andrew in recent days. Oh, and Robbie Williams.

I can imagine the excitement though. After all, spotting famous celebrities is a million, million times more interesting than watching even 10 minutes of golf. [Stuart Dredge]

Crikey - Is George Clooney Ready To Commit?!

George_2 It's the news that will break a thousand hearts - but it looks like once-eternal bachelor George Clooney is finally ready to settle down. Ish. No, we're not talking wedding bells and gift registration, but he has decided he's willing to make a bit of a committment to on-off girlfriend Krista Allen; they've decided to live together.

However, George might want to know that Krista is hoping the committment doesn't stop there, according to Star magazine. A source told the magazine: "She wants all or nothing. She is holding out for a ring this time - it's been going great, but she needs to know that he's committed all the way this time." Hmmm, I don't think that'll go down too well at Clooney HQ. George Clooney - Single Again?

George For years, I really didn't see the attraction to Mr. Clooney. Call me crazy (I don't fancy Brad Pitt either) but I just didn't understand what about him made so many women go weak at the knees. Then I saw Oceans 11 and disappointed myself by joining the Clooney Adoration Society (there is no such thing, but there should be). However, I wouldn't want to date him - holding on to him is proving to be near-on impossible!

Gorgeous George appeared at his 45th birthday party last week alone. On/off girlfriend Krista Allen was noticeably absent. Star magazine claims a spy told them: "We expected her to be there. She was in Vegas that weekend but never came. George looked happy - and single."

Is it just me or can everyone hear Lisa Snowdon screaming "yeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssss!!" right now? [Toni Kelly]
