Sneak peak of Nadine Coyle's new single!

nadine-coyle--.jpgNadine Coyle has announced the release of her debut single and album, and over the jump, is the a sneak peak of her new single in video form! Of course, this has been a long time coming for Girls Aloud fans. But is it any good? There's only one way to find out isn't there?

Nadine has set up her own record label called Black Pen Records, which will release her album 'Insatiable'.

For some reason, the album (and the lead single of the same name) will only be available to buy from Tesco.

She has her reasons though, as Coyle says:

"So much has changed in the way artists work now. I think we have learned that the traditional model for selling an album isn't the only way of doing things.

"To be able to create an album where you are in complete control of your own work is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an artist."

The new single was co-written by Coyle and Robbie Williams's former writing partner Guy Chambers and that's out November 1st.

Cheryl Cole is getting better

Thumbnail image for cheryl cole---.jpgAfter being hours from death (from catching a really weird tropical disease that no-one ever catches), you'll be pleased to know that Cheryl Cole is getting better! Aaw! That's the news according to her father who has spoken of his relief that his daughter is recovering from malaria. However, Gary Tweedy told The Mirror that he did not know when Cole, who left intensive care last week, would be allowed to leave her private clinic.

Tweedy said: "She has been in a bad way and we have obviously been worried. But she's on the mend now.

"We don't know how long she'll be in hospital, I don't think the doctors know. We're just all so relieved she's all right."

Cole has been forced to pull out of the audition and Boot Camp phases of this year's X Factor but is hoping to return for the live shows.

Get well soon!

Cheryl Cole pressured into divorce?

cheryl cole---.jpgI think it is fair to assume that a collective cheer went up around Britain when it was announced that Cheryl Cole was splitting up with Chelsea defender, Ashley. If the public willing her to do it didn't get through to her, it seems the press did as Cheryl has apparently stated that she felt pressured by the media into announcing her plans to divorce her husband Ashley.

The singer, who confirmed her official split from the footballer last week, apparently sent a text to her Girls Aloud bandmates thanking them for their support.

According to Now, the message said: "I've finally done it - I've filed for divorce. I'm OK, though, so please don't worry about me. I just wanted to say thanks so much for standing by me."

Meanwhile, a source also claimed: "Cheryl's been weighing things up for ages. She still has feelings for Ashley but she feels strong enough to start again on her own now.

"If she could've waited until after the World Cup she would've, but she felt under pressure to sort things out as soon as possible.

"The reason she texted the girls is she thought they deserved to know before the story broke. After all, they've been there for her through thick and thin."

What about us? Send us all a text as well! If that's even possible!

WE LOVE YOOOOOOU!

*ahem*

Cheryl Cole: Working too hard and possibly getting back with Ashley?

cheryl_tweedy_2.jpgCheryl Cole has hardly been out of the papers of late has she? Not surprising really. She's gone and become the unofficial Queen of Britain and we all love her, despite her foibles. However, is she working too much and is she considering getting back with Ashley? Bandmate Sarah Harding has admitted that she wouldn't be able to cope with Cheryl Cole's current workload, saying that she'd be as "dead as a dodo" if she carried on like that.

"I don't know how Cheryl does it. She's not stopped,"she told OK magazine.

"I went straight into doing the St. Trinian's movie and we've all kept ourselves busy but not at the sort of pace she has. I would be dead as a dodo."

Harding also refused to comment on recent speculation that fellow bandmate Nadine Coyle will leave the group to pursue a permanent solo career.

She told the magazine: "I can't comment about that, sorry. Don't believe everything you read, that's all I've got to say."

Meanwhile, Louis Walsh is under the impression that Cheryl and Ashley Cole could still patch up their differences and get back together.

Talking on Five's Justin Lee Collins: Good Times last week, Walsh said: "I think she's going to be fine. They might still be okay together. I hope they work it out and stay together. I thought they were a really good couple."

Nadine Coyle thinks Cheryl Coletweedy is milking grief

nadine_coyle1.jpgOh dear. Is that the smell of trouble in the Girls Aloud camp? Apparently, Nadine Coyle thinks that bandmate Cheryl Cole is exploiting her personal problems to further her professional career. Ouch. According to Heat, Coyle is said to be unimpressed by her Girls Aloud bandmate's supposed "manipulation" of the media following her split from footballer husband Ashley. That's not very nice is it (even if there might be a crumb of truth in it)?

A source claimed: "Nadine tries to keep very private and believes that her success will come through her talent and not any kind of media circus which might surround someone's private life.

"She thinks Cheryl is milking the whole situation surrounding her at the moment. Unlike Cheryl, who has a number of projects going on in the year, like The X Factor and various sponsorship deals, Nadine feels her career going forward will be focused solely on music."

They added: "She hasn't got the same contacts as Cheryl, nor the huge media profile, but she thinks that her music will say it all and she'll have more credibility.

"Nadine always believed that she has the strongest voice and has no doubt that her music will do well. The next few months are crucial to her, so she's keeping everything else, including Cheryl's woes, at arm's length."

However, Coyle has repeatedly denied any rift with Cole and recently wrote on Twitter: "I'm hearing stupid talk about Cheryl and I having a fall out. Def NOT the case. I've written a song I'd love for us to duet on. Stay tuned."

Has Cheryl dumped Ashley Cole by text?

cheryl_cole_.jpgIf you believe reports, then Cheryl Cole has dumped husband Ashley after three years of marriage. I can hear you shouting "About time too!" Yep, The Sun is claiming that the Girls Aloud siren broke the news to Ashley in a text message from Los Angeles early yesterday, telling him: "Move out. It's over." It is assumed that Cheryl started considering a divorce after arriving in the States days ago, but finally made her mind up at the weekend following fresh infidelity allegations which were made against Ashley.

A source said: "Cheryl has decided enough is enough and she is going to divorce him. She has told Ashley to get out of the family home because she does not wish to see him. She has no desire to hear any more excuses or explanations."

Claiming that the news will be officially confirmed within days, the insider added: "She wants to have put a statement out by the end of the week so she can start moving on. She has no desire to humiliate Ashley further and wishes to proceed in a dignified manner."

The latest scandal to hit the Coles' marriage began earlier this month when Ashley was accused of sending sex texts to two women. It was later claimed that the footballer had slept with one of the girls and further allegations have followed since then.

Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle vow to patch things up in 2010

cherylcole2.jpgCheryl Cole (the Queen of English Pop Culture, 2009) and Nadine Coyle (er..) have apparently made a New Year's resolution to put all those quibbles and past differences behind them and make nice in this glorious New Year (as an aside, Happy New Year to you dear reader!). The Girls Aloud stars allegedly spent more than an hour on the phone on Christmas Eve and vowed to make a fresh start in 2010. That's nice isn't it? More than once this year, I've been trying to work out whether Girls Aloud could continue if one of them left. For the time being, it seems like we don't need to worry.

"It all started with a text message that Nadine sent to Cheryl wishing her a happy Christmas," a source told the Daily Star.

"Cheryl texted her straight back and the next thing you know they were on the phone having a real heart to heart.

"It has been months since the girls had any real contact apart from passing comments in a recording studio."

Coyle recently hit out at reports that she is "at war" with Cole, insisting that she was pleased with the success of her bandmate's debut solo album 3 Words. It's also worth noting that Coyle will have her own solo LP in July.

Nadine Coyle is not at war with Cheryl Cole... okay?

nadine-coyle.jpgMuch has been made of the rivalries that exist within pop groups. One of the biggest rumoured rivalries is between Nadine Coyle and... well... the rest of Girls Aloud. Once again, Nadine has had to come out and reject claims that she's at war with the girls, especially Cheryl Cole. The singer told Closer that she was pleased with the success of Cole's solo career to date but 'fessed up to being a bit jealous of her links with Simon Cowell.

Coyle said: "We're not at war. I phoned her up after she performed on The X Factor to tell her how fantastic it was. I think anyone would be envious that Cheryl has Simon Cowell's backing! He's such a big player, but in truth I've been lucky to work with some big really big names in the States."

She added to Star: "There were all these crazy reports saying I had snubbed her - but we met up and had a great laugh... I really love 'Fight For This Love' - it's really catchy."

Of reports that Cole may follow her to live in the US, Coyle said: "It's not about me versus Cheryl... American X Factor would be the biggest show on TV so it would be the ultimate TV gig to get.

"I don't think she would make a permanent move to the States though because Ashley has his football career."

Sarah Harding to go solo

Sarah-harding-Sarah Harding has confirmed that she is in talks to record solo material. Does this mean she's ditching Girls Aloud to go it alone? Well, the solo material will be for the upcoming St. Trinian's movie soundtrack.

"I'm still going to do music. It's my first love. I want to concentrate on acting, but it's not going to stop me from doing some writing," she told Heat. "I may be doing some work on the St. Trinian's soundtrack, as well as appearing in it, which is exciting." As for Girls Aloud: "We're not splitting up, we're just taking time out. It's been six years and we all wanted to explore different ideas," she said. "We'll probably start doing another album next year. We've been on a treadmill for six years, so we needed a break."

Girls Aloud star wants comedy role

Sarah+Harding+ Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding has said that she would love to work on a comedy project. The singer claimed that she is looking to work on a variety of acting jobs to prove that she has what it takes to make the move from music to TV and films. "People like to see you as just one thing and find it hard to take if you try something different - they say 'Why's she doing that?'" she told The Sun. "So I have to be clever about what I choose and take it one step at a time."

She continued: "I'd love to play a fiery, strong, independent woman and appear in a psychological thriller or perhaps a comedy - I adore making people laugh."

Harding also claimed that there is a "stigma" to popstars who want to break into the acting industry. "I'm working my way into acting gradually - I don't want people to think that I'm just swanning in there," she joked.

Harding will star alongside Dominic Cooper in BBC Two credit crunch drama Freefall on July 14.

Girls Aloud singer 'spoiled by parents'

Nadine-coyle- Nadine Coyle has said that she is enjoying spending time at her family's home in Los Angeles for the first time since she was a teenager. The Girls Aloud singer told Hello! magazine that she feels it is too soon in her relationship to move into a new home with her American football playing boyfriend Jason Bell, Bang Showbiz reports.

Coyle said: "I'm so happy being back with my mummy and daddy when I'm in Los Angeles. I haven't done that since I was 16 and I'm getting so spoilt.

"My mummy does all my washing and cooking and puts lavender oil on my pillow to help me sleep. I'm so pampered."

She added that Bell was surprised by the attention she received from the press when he visited her in London.

Cheryl Cole wants more junk in her trunk

Cheryl-coleCheryl Cole has claimed that she does not like her small frame and would like a larger ... er posterior. The Girls Aloud singer argued that being skinny is "not a good look". "I don't want to be up and down like a lollipop lady," she told Grazia. "I hate that women feel guilty about eating - just treat yourself." Cole insisted that her weight only remains so low because of her busy touring schedule.

"I challenge anyone to do the ridiculous amount of dancing and exercise [Girls Aloud] do day in day out and not lose weight and tone up," she said. She continued: "I love curves. I hate the fact I have no bum. I get called flatty batty... I'd love to have more junk in me trunk. Ideally, a body like Jennifer Lopez. But I'd dress differently to her."

Meanwhile, the singer also claimed that she is unhappy with the size of her bust. "I'm a 32D which is ridiculous for my size and boobs are hard to dress," she said. "I hate looking booby. You can look really cheap very quickly."

Brit Award should end 'split' rumours says Cole

Girls-aloud As we all know, Girls Aloud won a Brit Award last night (best single) and Cheryl Cole is claiming that the win should put an end to all the rumours that the group has split up. The singer and X Factor judge described the band's best single victory for 'The Promise' as "a bit surreal". The girls beat off stiff competition from Adele, Alexandra Burke, Coldplay and others to win the award that was chosen by the public.

Regarding rumours of a possible break-up, Cole said: "We have just won a Brit voted for by the public, and us being here shuts that question up."

Reports emerged that bandmate Kimberly Walsh needed an emergency massage after hurting her foot during a closed-set rehearsal, but she returned for a performance of the group's winning song.

Nadine Coyle to quit Girls Aloud?

Nadine

Girls Aloud have reportedly told Nadine Coyle to either commit to the group or quit. Coyle has recently distanced herself from the other band members after moving to LA to open an Irish-themed pub with her family, according to the News Of The World.

"The other four can’t stand her these days because they feel her heart isn’t in the band," a source told the newspaper. “She’s become very distant and seems to resent the time she has to spend in London away from her new base in LA. Getting her to show up for things can be very difficult.

“The girls have always rowed, but this is the first time there’s been such a big split between one member and everyone else.”

During recent filming sessions for the girls' ITV Christmas special, the other band members apparently didn't speak to Coyle. "There was an icy atmosphere and the others didn’t speak to Nadine. She was the first to get ready and had to wait ages for the girls, who were having a giggle with each other. Nadine ended up chatting to the dancers to pass the time.”

Earlier today, it was reported that the pop five-piece would join Coldplay for the band's UK stadium tour, which has now been confirmed for Coldplay's newly-announced date at Wembley Stadium on September 18th.

Coldplay have now lined up four UK stadium dates for September 2009, with Jay-Z to support at three gigs and Girls Aloud at one.

Coldplay have a few miserable fans who might not be best pleased at this news...

Cheryl Cole hates her legs

Picture_1 It is a fact universally acknowledged, as Jane Austin wrote, that Cheryl Cole is a big ugly fat cow. So it should come as no surprise to hear that old 'face ache' hates her legs. Frankly we're just relieved she said it first. I mean my god, what an unholy munter that woman is. I can only apologise for inflicting this picture on you but some things are so painful and ugly you need to witness them to really believe they happened. In a way, reading this post is like sitting through Schindler's List.

“I'm terrible, I don't like my legs,” she says. “I haven't got much of them for a start. It's just the thing that I don't like so if I was dressing myself I'd probably cover them up.” Also what's this IF I was dressing myself business? Who dresses her?

Cheryl Cole to replace Sharon Osbourne on X Factor

Ccole How do we feel about this, kids? Maybe to you this is like some kind of modern day fairytale, where the evil tyrant queen is finally overthrown by the beautiful young princess, who then rules the land with a gentle benevolent hand for evermore. Or maybe you're on the side of the punky middle aged woman and will miss her outrageous on-screen antics. Cheryl may be little and doe-eyed, but there was a time when she was no stranger to a bit of brawling herself, you know. Which way will it go? It's certainly going to be interesting finding out.

Megan Fox named FHM's sexiest woman

Megan_fox_picture_1Lads mag FHM has announced its annual list of the world's sexiest women as voted for by their horny readers and the results make for interesting reading (if you’re into that kind of thing). Transformers star Megan Fox has nabbed the top spot with her first time on the list, proving that boys like girls that run around fighting shiny machines while resembling Angelina Jolie without the children.

Other newbies on the list include opera singer Katherine Jenkins, supermodel Agyness Deyn and Prince Harry's lady friend Chelsea Davy. However, at Star Trip we're most excited by the new entry coming in at number 91 – none other than Location, Location, Location (did we say that enough times?) property expert Kirstie Allsopp. Maybe it's that domineering, know-it-all school mistress vibe she's working.

The top five was rounded out by last year's number one, Jessica Alba at two, glamour model Keeley Hazell at three and American TV actresses Elisha Cuthbert and the barely-legal Hayden Panettiere at four and five respectively.

Established totty such as Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Keira Knightley, Hilary Duff and Cheryl Cole made the top ten, but there was no love this time for new-mums Jennifer Lopez and Myleene Klass and Kate Moss.

Speaking on the results, FHM's editor-in-chief Anthony Noguera said: "This year, after 9.7 million votes from around the world, [the poll] has never been more authoritative. Megan Fox is a very deserving winner... From out of nowhere, she's captured the hearts - and fantasies - of British men to capture the number one slot."

So congratulations to Megan Fox, who is now officially the most wanked over woman in Britain. Oh for such a noble accolade…

Will Ashley win Cheryl's forgiveness with romantic holiday?

2701_cole_02When your husband is continually referred to by the media as a 'love rat' then things aren't looking too rosy in your marriage. Just look at Ashley Cole and his missus Cheryl. After the well-publicised allegations of his infidelity, the couple is back living together in a show of togetherness and unity, but behind closed doors things are very far from happy according to new gossip.

Girls Aloud singer Cheryl might have moved back into the couple's marital nest, but insiders say the couple barely talks, while she insists they sleep in separate rooms with no nooky. Chelsea footballer Ashley, being a randy so-and-so, is far from keen on this and is planning a luxurious holiday to the Bahamas in June to help rekindle the dying romance.

A friend of the estranged couple revealed to The Sun: “Ashley has been miserable these past few months and Cheryl’s really made him pay for what he did. He thinks the holiday will be the final gesture that will make things go back to the way they were before he was caught out. He even hopes the sex ban will end while they’re away.”

Who thinks this source might be a pal of Ashley's? He certainly seems to think that the sports star has been punished enough for his cheating and that a few soft words and flashy pressies are enough to gloss over the cracks of deception and infidelity. In contrast, a friend of Cheryl's explained how the pop star is coping.

“Cheryl accepted Ashley back because she loves him. But she’s finding it hard to put his cheating behind her," explains the source. “Although they are both living in the same house, they are still not really behaving like man and wife and sleep in different rooms. Ashley still has a lot of work to do."

On whether the left-back lothario can work his magic with a little getaway, the friend confided: “She could refuse the holiday offers all together. He has a long way to go before he wins back the place he used to have in her heart – and her bed.”

And so he should. Since when was a few days in the sun a remedy for broken trust?

Girls Aloud chow down for new KitKat advert

Yesterday we told you how Sarah Harding is busy planning a stroll up the aisle, but before the blonde pop star says "I do" she's busy having a break. Not from her bloke, DJ Tom Crane or from those other miming minxes that make up Girls Aloud. No, from the whole showbiz scene as evidenced by this new KitKat commercial.

In this new advert for the choccie company, the Girls Aloud stars are exiting a glitzy bash and hastily making their way into their car. But what's this I spy? Sarah, rather than following her band mates away from the paparazzi, flops herself down on the red carpet and munches on a KitKat. As you do.

Star Trip wonders how Sarah wangled it so that she assumed centre stage for this ad (do KitKat not like Nicola, Kimberly, Cheryl and Nadine?) and who on earth came up with the concept? Of all the ways to depict a glamourous celeb enjoying a little down time, publicly scoffing a calorie-laden snack isn’t the first scenario that springs to mind.

And considering the girl's raunchy image, it all seems a bit tame. They should have gotten Wino to do it. Then we really would have seen something special.

Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding ready to say "I do"

3e8cc4d4f3a4f2974cedbc8ee5a64fa9There must be something in the air, as another showbiz wedding is on the horizon. This one is a little closer to home than the recent nuptials of Jay-Z and Beyoncé and the hush-hush plans of Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, and promises to be a more raucous, drunken knees-up. So who is heading down the aisle now?

It's Girls Aloud party-girl Sarah Harding and her DJ fella Tom Crane. The blonde pop star has created quite a wild reputation for herself, but is set to settle down after Crane proposed with a horse. Yes, you read correctly. A horse. What, he couldn't get down the off-license for a box of chocs and cheap plonk?

Sarah learned how to play polo for the ITV2 reality show The Passions of… Girls Aloud (though according to this show, they're only a quartet, as Nadine clearly had better things to do off in L.A.), through which she developed a love for horses. Quick to exploit this, Crane gifted Harding with the horse as part of his proposal.

"Anyone can buy a diamond ring but what Sarah loves about Tom is that he is so original," quipped a friend of the pair to the Daily Star. "He spent ages trying to find the perfect animal for Sarah to play polo on and he settled on a 16-hands, bay-coloured beauty called Spirit. "He introduced them last week and asked Sarah if she would consider marrying him. She was bowled over and said 'Yes' straight away."

The cynical side of Star Trip wants to think she only said yes to the gift of the horse, but let's wish them both well on this rocky road to love and hope that Sarah doesn't listen to any of Cheryl's marriage advice.

Girls Aloud claim they like their grub

GaIt's hard for young women to earn the approval of the media when it comes to their weight. Either they're too fat and a podgy example of this country's greasy slide into obesity or they're too skinny and look like they might shatter into a million pieces if touched. One group of ladies getting the hump due to the newspaper's fascination with their weight is pop princesses Girls Aloud.

"Journalists write that we [Girls Aloud] starve ourselves, but it's not true," says Kimberly Walsh in New! magazine. "We eat everything in moderation and we're not obsessive in any way." The bronzed pop star claims that she and each of her chart-topping band mates Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Cheryl Cole have "healthy appetites [and] eat really well".

Cheryl is equally angry with the media's claims that the girls deprive themselves as it goes against her desire to be a strong role model. "We have a responsibility because young girls look at us," argues Cheryl, "and we don't want them thinking we're depriving ourselves because we genuinely don't."

Interesting that this commitment to grub comes in the wake of the girls signing a deal to promote Kit Kat chocolate bars. They wouldn't be much cop at selling the naughty treats, if they all claimed to be calorie-consumed diet obsessives would they?

School children name David Beckham their top role model

David_beckhamWhen you were a kid who did you look up to and admire? Chances are they were slightly more inspiring than the current crop of celebrities that British children claim are their top role models. A new poll conducted by the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) found that a whopping 53% of sprogs want to be David Beckham. With his footballing prowess, hoards of lusty female fans and impressive bank balance – Mr. Beckham is one of the more understandable and logical choices found on the list. Unlike other names…

David's Spice Girl wife Victoria was inexplicably voted the second choice with 30% of the vote. Yes, she too enjoys a life of celebrity luxury and was once a hard-working pop star – but a role model for young minds? Still, it could be worse – Paris Hilton made it to number six on the list.

Elsewhere, sporting stars such as Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Formula One rookie Lewis Hamilton proved popular as are actors such as David Tennant and Keira Knightley, with music being represented by the Sugababes, Leona Lewis and Nadine Coyle.

Being in double digits, the idea that these celebrities are worthy role models has me scratching my head in confusion (not cos I have nits – urgh!), however the general secretary of the ATL, Dr. Mary Bousted, is far less surprised.

"It reflects the current media obsession with celebrity and the effect of celebrity culture on society as a whole," she explained. "However, we are deeply concerned many pupils' believe celebrity status is available to everyone. They do not understand the hard work it takes to achieve such status and do not think it is important to be actively engaged in school work as education is not needed for a celebrity status.

"Celebrity culture can perpetuate the notion that celebrity status is the greatest achievement and reinforces the belief that other career options are not valuable."

And let's be honest – not every girl aspiring to be a WAG is going to be pretty enough to pull it off.

Girls Aloud's Nicola happy to be pale-skinned

1000030844When you think of Girls Aloud, chances are you that Nicola Roberts is the last name to come to mind. After all, Nadine enjoys high profile romances with American actors, Cheryl's marriage (or lack thereof) has guaranteed attention for years and Sarah Harding is always spotted getting wasted at showbiz parties. Nicola is the redhead they often hide away in the corner, remember her?

Well, since photographs of her looking pale next to über-tanned band mate Kimberley (left) caught the public's attention recently, the quietest Girls Aloud member has had something to say. And surprisingly, I found myself liking her for it…

As with many girls with fair skin, Nicola has admitted how crap it used to make her feel compared to her more tanned chums, saying: "Being pale was a massive insecurity for me. I hated it, especially being against the other girls who were so tanned." Nicola's concern ran so deep that she even wished to have a skin graft to darken her skin.

Now however, Nicola is no longer having fake tan sprays and is becoming increasingly comfortable and accepting of herself. So much so, that she is soon to bring out a make-up range for other pale-skinned girls.

Well done Nicola – such news is very much at odds with your bandmates ways of attracting attention and is to be saluted, especially since this Star Tripper is also fair-skinned. Can't wait for the make-up!

Cheryl demands husband Ashley publicly apologise for cheating

Cheryl_ash_26nov07_big_350It's the love saga that won't end. Will Cheryl forgive husband Ashley his philandering ways or will she boot him out and end their marriage? For weeks this showbiz story has rumbled on, taking in trips to LA for Cheryl as she holidayed with her Girls Aloud band members, consulting them on their views (one piece of advice Cheryl - don't listen to Nadine. She obviously has no standards when it comes to men, after all she did date Jesse Metcalfe.) Sometimes we hear that they're on the mend, at others it appears to be all over. Does anyone know what's going on?

Well, according to the Sunday People, Cheryl is considering reconciling with Chelsea left-back Ashley, on the condition that he publicly apologise to her and admit his wrong-doing. Sound about as likely as Amy Winehouse washing her hair? You betcha. Ashley is far from keen, despite the importance that Cheryl has placed on the gesture.

A source close to the England player reveals: "He doesn't want to do it. He still insists it wasn't his fault. He claims he can't remember because he was too drunk." Cheryl, though sees it as the only way forward: "She feels like a fool. She feels betrayed and hurt. Now she needs him to take the blame for what he has done."

With fool-proof logic and unarguable common sense on his side, after all he was "too drunk" to know that he had his penis inside a woman other than his wife, surely Cheryl should forgive Ashley's dalliance?

Nadine Coyle dating Josh Hartnett

Img_8Nadine, Nadine Nadine *shakes head and sighs wearily*. We all know what a bad time you had in your former relationship with professional douchebag Jesse Metcalfe but is this really the best move? Maybe you should spend some quality time alone – knitting, learning the harmonica, watching daytime TV – anything but rush into another ill-conceived fling. Isn't the mess band mate Cheryl's in enough to deter you from slimy men? Apparently not. Yes, Star Trippers, Nadine is said to be dating Hollywood womanizer Josh Hartnett.

I'm sure the 30 Days of Night star might seem like a good catch. He's a high profile actor and could help break you in Tinseltown, but the list of women he's been with is frighteningly long and not always of top quality. Rumer Willis? I ask you and look at poor Kirsten Dunst now holed up in rehab. Please re-consider your options Nadine. Being single isn't such a sad state of affairs but being made to watch your man in Pearl Harbor is. Think on girl.

Why Nadine from Girls Aloud claims she missed the Brit Awards

1000031351We told you yesterday how Nadine Coyle missed the Brit Awards – but do you know what excuse the Irish pop strumpet has wheeled out for such a high profile no-show? She couldn't find her passport. Seriously, the Girls Aloud singer wants us to believe that she rummaged about her Los Angeles pad searching for the document, couldn't find it and gave up. Doesn't she have people to do such menial things for her? Keen to quash speculation that her absence from the girl group on Wednesday night might become more permanent, Nadine has posted the following statement on the group's official website.

"Hi guys, I hope you all enjoyed watching the BRITs last night. It's a shame we didn't win Best British Band, but we're big fans of Arctic Monkeys so we're happy it was them. Any indie band that covers Love Machine is alright by us. Haha...."

"I just wanted to let you all know how frustrating it is losing your passport. I lost it somewhere over here and wasn't able to make it back for last night's show. That's the only reason I wasn't there! Hello? I'd love to have spent the night with my girls and watch Amy, Kylie and Rihanna perform. Anyway I'll be back soon and you can catch us all performing on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway on 1 March. See you all there. Love Nadine xxx"

Though I have no trouble in believing her to be genuinely ditsy enough to lose her passport, it does sound a bit suspicious. Is Nadine going to be the first Alouder (I don't know what their fans are called – tone-deaf and horny?) to go solo or is this just an unfortunate mistake? Take your bets now.

The Brit Awards: Who won, who lost and all the backstage gossip

92a226748a40f3b2114ccfdf7562c41aSo what did we all think? Yes, it was bawdy chaos but that's to be expected, hell it's the only reason I bother watching. The Osbourne clan was as reliably amateurish and embarrassing as we could have hoped for as the night's hosts (especially Sharon, for such a seasoned TV star she really brought the crazy) and there was the much touted appearance of Amy Winehouse. And not only did she awkwardly tug at her dress and dance in that squirmy fashion that suggests she needs the loo once, but twice!

Awards wise, 90s comeback kings Take That got all emotional over their two gongs (Best Live Act and Best Single) and the Arctic Monkeys were apparently so full of naughty words that they were cut off midway despite picking up Best British Group and Best British Album for Favourite Worst Nightmare. Rock gods The Foo Fighters couldn't be bothered to make the trip to London, so Dave Grohl made some cheeky thank you speeches via a video tape for the group's two wins for Best International Album (Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace) and Best International Group. Oh and there was plenty more…

Kylie jigged about to that god-awful Wow song and snagged Best International Female. Kanye West, like the Foos, picked up his Best International Male award via a VT, while Kate Nash and Mark Ronson won as the Best British Female and Male respectively. Mika scored with the Best Breakthrough Act and Adele took home the Critics Choice award in its debut outing. In a show-stealing performance Sir Paul McCartney reminded his money-grabbing soon-to-be ex how he came by his fortune with a great medley to celebrate his Lifetime Achievement gong.

The gossip from backstage is all a bit girly, with question marks over some notable Girls Aloud absentees with neither Nadine Coyle or Cheryl Cole's wedding ring in sight. But of course, whatever she does has tongues a-wagging and so the appearance of the Wino generated the most buzz. Yes, she turned up. Yes, she sang (albeit pretty screechy at moments.) She gave her obligatory mention of her locked up hubby (as if anyone could forget) and looked quite sauced. But no, surely this couldn't be. We all know that she's been trying to clean up and get her act together, what's that you say Heatworld insider? That the Wino got bladdered. Please do elaborate.

"Amy was enjoying herself," reveals the source. "She had a few drinks and she wanted to party. She has been under so much strain and it was really nice to see her letting herself go and having a good time." Letting herself go? I think we're a bit past that stage love. How going on a bender is any reward to a life spent on a bender I don't quite understand, but if you missed all the debauched antics hop on over to our sister site, My Chemical Toilet, for a real-time look at the night's winners, losers (Leona Lewis) and more.

Cheryl Cole "can't stand the sight" of cheating husband Ashley

F_200709_september1_358094aEveryone seems to have an opinion on the marital woes of Girls Aloud singer Cheryl and her cheating hubby Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole. Should she forgive him, should she dump him and if they got divorced how much moolah could she make? The latest development in the saga reveals that Cheryl refused to watch the England match on Wednesday night as she "can't stand the sight of him."

The Geordie pop star is currently staying with a close chum away from the marital home and remains unsure whether to stand by her man or seek a permanent separation. A source explained to 'The Sun': "Ashley is desperate for Cheryl to come home because he knows the more time she is away with people who hate him, the more she will be turned against him. None of her family or friends want Cheryl to take him back." And why should they?

"It’s abundantly clear to her now he can’t be trusted and the truth is she simply doesn’t know how many people he has slept with or paid off", adds the insider. “Cheryl goes from one extreme emotion to another. One minute she’s hopelessly distraught and in floods of tears, the next she’s furious."

I would imagine that such a maelstrom of emotions is understandable given the circumstances – but what do you Star Trippers think? Reconcile, reject or just shut the hell up?

Sarah Harding wants a solo career - but she's the only one

Sarahharding1bIt really feels like Girls Aloud have been around for ages. Obviously they haven't and I do hazily remember a time when they weren't pouting and gyrating on TV, but it seems that even one of the girls themselves is making plans to fly the nest. Step forward Sarah Harding. The pop princess has been making noises about leaving Girls Aloud to industry big-wigs in the hope that she can stop seeing her pay cheque split five ways and make it as a solo artist. And how is she progressing? Not so well apparently.

A source reveals: "Sarah has had an eye on her future for a long time. She knows girl bands only have a short shelf life and that the dream wouldn't last forever." Sounds sensible, if not slightly optimistic, but the insider admits: "The response hasn't been quite what she had expected. She thought people would jump at the chance to take her on – but it hasn't quite worked out like that." Aw bless, well she'll always have the Ultima lingerie contract and lads mag appearances to help her once the music dream dies.

Top Five Christmas songs.. as sung to you by celebs

Christmas is in the air, with the scent of tinsel, chestnuts and debt filling the world, and naturally those money hungry celebs feel it's only appropriate to add to the festive misery cheer by creating a tie in song/cover. There's nothing like the inane warblings of vacuous overpaid empty headed skeletons to really make you feel in the festive spirit, so we bring you the best (or the worst, it really depends on your opinion) of Christmas celeb covers around. And don't worry, I'm sure there will be at least two new ones this year.

Number One: Girls Aloud- I wish it could be Christmas every day

Really? Not if we have to listen to this sickly sweet tripe. I suppose thy ain't 'jumping for love' at least, so that's something, but I still think they could of done better than that badly synchronized routine.

Number 2: Beyonce- 8 days of Christmas

Now I may not be the biggest Beyonce fan (other than Bootylicious, that was amazing) but if this lovely lady was going to be with me for 8 days of Christmas I think I'd be pretty happy- and be more than willing to kit her out in diamond studded belly button rings.

Number 3: Britney Spears- My only wish this year

When Britters sand this her wishes probably included number ones, Justin getting a haircut and the death of Paris Hilton. Nowadays her wishlist is a whole lot more adult, including, 'custody of kids', a permanent ban on pics of her coochie, and a wish that she could have her teen boy back again without surgery. Oh well, she had a good run.

Number 4:Christina Aguilera-Christmas Crooner

My, did lil 'Xtina use to be sweet looking. She coulda rivalled Britney for virgin stakes back in the day and here she is crooning gently to us about Xmas. Bless you Santa, we want her under our tree!

Number 5: Mariah Carey- All I want for Xmas is you

No Mariah that's not true. You may want, but we certainly don't so the less we see of your oblong mug and cheese grater voice the better.

Nicola from Girls Aloud is planning a beauty line for pale skin (read redheads)

Niocla_girls_2

Nicola Roberts a.k.a the Girls Aloud member who can sing, is thinking of creating a make up line for the lighter lady. By this I mean the gingers of the world, all shades from auburn to orange could now possibly have make up to implement their freckly complexions.

She was heard talking about it on This Morning, so we really can't confirm her sofa chat as gospel, but we still think it's not a bad idea. I'm guessing it will feature a lot of concealer and blusher if her picture is anything to go by. Do we need more make up on the market? Why not! I just hope each individual girl doesn't bring out a line.

Spice Girls copy Girls Aloud in Cavalli shocker

Spicegirlsgirlsaloud
Roberto Cavalli has revealed his design sketches for the Spice Girls' upcoming reunion tour, which are reminding us of Girls Aloud's outfits for their music video No Good Advice. Silver and sparkly seems to be the theme of the girls' stage costumes which have been designed especially with each of their personalities in mind. "At their debut, the Spice Girls generated a trend with their individual looks and now, ten years later, they have put their trust in me to get a new, unique and iconic appeal for the tour," said Cavalli, who is currently in London for the Red Cross Ball.

Top Five Celeb Calendars: Who will be on our wall in 2008?

Spice_calendar

Ok, some people may have stopped buying calendars when they graduated from primary school, but there clearly is still a large market aimed at the post pubescent purchasers (mainly male, my investigations have revealed, but why should I judge?) so to cope with the demand there are a plethora of scantily clad celebs stripping off to make  a quick buck. Hey, they have bigger Christmas lists to deal with OK? So let's see what will be adorning bedrooms around the country for the next year.

Number 1: The Spice Girls

Well January does follow their December sell out tour, and I'm sure there will be new tweens obsessed with them as well as all the old queens debating which Spice they most resemble.

Kelly_brook_calendar

Number 2: Kelly Brook

Well, she is super hot, and ahas just released a perfume, so it's no surprise she's making calendar pages. Oh and did I mention she just launched her latest sexy undies for New Look?

Hollyoaks_calendar_2 Number 3: Hollyoaks

Now these hot honeys are truly pin ups, after all they can act and strip which is quite a talent. After all, as gripping as the Hollyoaks storylines can be (who doesnt love the did she/didn't she sleep with her brother twist at the moment) we know that a fair majority of men nationwide just watch, well OK the McQueen sisters help a lot, but all the rest ares seriously gorgeous too.

Girls_alpoud_calendar

Number 4: Girls Aloud

No longer the 'sound of the underground', these girls are mainstream hotties. With their name on everything from phones to underwear these Girls are hotly touted to make the Christmas No1, and the number 1 stocking filler!

Jordan_calendar_3

Number 5: Jordan

Yes this big breasted lady will be making a stir in 2008, as always the lad mags favourite, Jordan a.k.a Katie Price has been hot to trot in 2007, with the launch of a fragrance, hair accessories and a Richard and Judy style chat show. Go Jordan!!

Cheryl Cole describes 'adult' marriage to Ashley

_41335820_julien6getty_2Cheryl Cole isn’t quite as salacious as the perma-tanned Jordan, but she does love telling the media all about her marriage to Chelsea and England full-back Ashley Cole. The Girls Aloud singer has revealed in an interview with New! Magazine what an adult and mature relationship the loved-up pair share. "We don't have arguments” insists the Geordie pop star. “I know people would love to think we do, but we don't. We discuss things like adults - and like a married couple would.

"We have conversations - that is natural between a couple. But Ashley is a different person to how he is on the pitch. He wouldn't even know how to hit the roof - we have never had any blazing rows." What is she insinuating - that her hubby is an ill-disciplined motor-mouth on the pitch? I just love her insightful observation that conversations are natural between a couple. Oh Cheryl – teach us everything you know.

Girls Aloud singer wants to wed

Girls_aloud_nicola Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts... you know, the one that is referred to as 'The Ginger One' or the one people pretend to fancy in the vain hope of appearing more intelligent (clue, there is nothing brainy about finding any sort of redeeming feature in a member of one of the most pointless groups in the history of music)... has revealed that she already has plans to marry her boyfriend Carl Davies.

The couple have confessed that they are both considering the prospect of marriage because they are so happy together. Davies told OK!: "I've had other relationships in the past, but I can really see us getting married and being together forever. When you fall in love with someone you want to spend your life with them."

Talking about specific plans, Roberts commented: "I like the idea of doing it abroad, somewhere like Italy. I like the idea of getting married in a derelict church like Ross and Emily did in Friends and dressing it up in flowers and candles. It would be beautiful." Did you hear that? She wants a wedding in Italy... like the one Ross and Emily had... in London. Proof that it wasn't Nicola's turn to have a go on the brain shared by Girls Aloud.

Cheryl Cole hits out at WAG culture

ChetweIt’s not often that I agree with anything that comes out of Cheryl Cole’s mouth, but I think the Geordie popster might be on to something with her recent dig at the WAG culture. As wife to Chelsea left-back Ashley some might consider the Girls Aloud star hypocritical in her views, but it should be noted that her mini-skirted version of success was achieved prior to their romantic involvement and so I nod in agreement wih her as she kicks some WAG ass.

Speaking to Q magazine (really?) Cheryl ranted: "To be labelled as someone's wife I find very degrading as a woman. It's embarrassing and depressing when I hear kids say to me: 'I wanna be a WAG.' That's not a job. This generation is really having it pushed down their throat that being a footballer's wife is the be all and end all. It's not. What if you get cheated on or beaten up? What are you going to do then? Stay there for the Chloe handbag? I don't think so." No definitely not Chloe, at least hold out for a Fendi.

Girls Aloud reveal their secret fantasies for new ITV2 show

Bel__1171581442_girlsaloudlandsca_2New ITV2 show Passions promises celebrities the chance to participate in their dream activity, but when Girls Aloud agreed to sign up the ladies surprised execs with their fantasies! Irish Nadine has chosen to become a classical conductor, while party girl Sarah Harding is going to be trading wild nights out in London for the polo pitches of Argentina. Band mates Kimberley and Nicola have refused to reveal their secret desires, but Cheryl Cole has raised some eyebrows with her choice: street dancing in Compton, Los Angeles.

Compton is notoriously dodgy, having been voted the most dangerous city in the States in 2006, but Geordie lass Cheryl is all for learning ‘krumping’ – a hip hop style of dancing. Hubbie Chelsea left-back Ashley is a bit worried about the idea, a source revealing that: "Ashley is really worried as Compton is notorious for having a lot of crime and gang violence. He's worried Cheryl won't be safe out there. But Cheryl is really excited about it as she has always wanted to do this and can't stop talking about it. She grew up in a tough area of Newcastle so she knows how to handle herself."

Really, I don’t see what all the fuss is about. All she would have to do is sing a Girls Aloud song and any threatening gangs would soon scarper.

Cheryl Cole gives advice to England football fans

Twat Pop trollop Cheryl Cole has told England football fans to stop booing the players. Cole, who is married to England and Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole, has argued that the national supporters need to behave more like Liverpool crowds to help boost the players' confidence.

The Girls Aloud singer told The Sun: "We need to get behind the boys more. We should be like the Liverpool fans. Their theory is the worse you are, the louder you shout. It makes a real difference." Comparing the sporting events to her own musical career, the popstar commented: "I was saying to the girls, can you imagine if every time we went on stage we got shouted at by the crowd? It would be awful."

Oooooh. This is far too tempting an offer. How about this for advice? England fans will stop booing when you stop running your mouth off about other pop stars and celebrities? Every single fan of every single football club in the entire world will stop booing if you stop singing for ever and ever.

Sarah Harding hates Victoria Beckham

SarahhardingkbSarah Harding is not one to bite her tongue. Oh no, the Girls Aloud singer loves to flap her gums and she’s been at it again, this time taking a swipe at fellow girl grouper Victoria Beckham. First band member Cheryl Cole dissed the idea of pop group reunions in a less than cryptic dig at the reforming Spice Girls and now Sarah has hit out at Mrs. Beckham for, of all things, her hairstyle.

Sarah has had her peroxide bob cut into a boyish crop to avoid being confused with Victoria. Over to Sarah to explain: 'I got my new haircut only because I hated when people compared me with Victoria Beckham. That's the only reason why I cut my hair’ clarifies the 25-year-old. ‘I hate her so much and I just can't stand it when I get compared with her all the time. I don't understand why it's such a big deal with me and her. I mean it's quite stupid. I am so glad my hair looks different now and I really hope people will stop this nonsense.' Yes people – you heard Sarah. Stop comparing her to the fame-seeking, blonde-barneted, pop puppet – they have absolutely nothing in common.

Jesse Metcalfe shows love for Nadine Coyle with new tattoo

Nadine_coyle_jesse_metcalfeFormer Desperate Housewives torso Jesse Metcalfe is said to have made a very public commitment to girlfriend Nadine Coyle – a tattoo in her honour on his left arm. Mmm, romantic. The inky stain is of the Girls Aloud singer, naked, holding a bloody heart in the shape of Ireland, her home country. Sounds like a bestseller.

Blabbing all to US TV, Metcalfe has explained his unusual token of love for his lady: "It’s not that I’m not over the break-up, it’s just that I really wanted to remember what it felt like to be in that relationship so that I never really go there again. I went through a hard break-up.

“Every tattoo is a memory. It doesn’t mean you are staying in that moment or obsessing about it. I chose to get that tattoo, especially with the heart on the arm, because I chose to wear my heart on my sleeve.”

Isn’t that just the most adorably loving gesture? If that doesn’t secure Nadine’s affection forever then her Ireland shaped heart must be made of stone.

Cheryl Cole speaks out on past abusive relationship

CherylCheryl Cole has followed in the footsteps of Jennifer Ellison and spilled all on the abuse she suffered in a past relationship. The 24-year-old Girls Aloud singer is now married to Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole but things weren’t always quite so rosy. She reveals: 'As a teenager, I was in a really horrible relationship where I was emotionally and physically bullied by my boyfriend. It's degrading. When someone makes you feel small or humiliated, it's probably the worst thing you can go through.'

This wasn’t Cheryl’s first experience of being mistreated, also admitting to hard times suffered at school: 'Kids mocked me for having dark skin and other little things like that,' she says. 'It just shouldn't happen, full stop.' No Cheryl it shouldn’t. But then, Girls Aloud songs make my ears bleed – it’s not a perfect world.

SarahhardingKate Moss made Sarah Harding cry, yes really. And I don’t mean a silent sob but a reported full-on, who’s-got-a-hankie blubberfest. The ladies clashed at the V Festival when Moss spotted the Girls Aloud star on her table at the Bacardi B-Live tent and was having none of it. Kate channeled her inner diva and went ballistic raging at Harding and her chums "Who are these people? There’s too many of them. I'm not going in there, no chance. Get them out!"

Such a stern talking to was more than fragile Sarah could take, heading for the loos and locking herself in away from Hurricane Moss. A source who witnessed all reveals: "Sarah looked really upset and scurried off to lock herself in the toilet." But the supermodel wasn’t done yet, oh no, with Sarah defeated she turned her anger on an official photographer. The spy reports: "She started swearing like a trooper and flounced off in a huff." Such unlikely behaviour for a supermodel.

Sadly, even with this shit-storm over, Sarah must have had mascara running down her cheeks as she refused to be prized from the security of her toilet sanctuary. One organiser was heard trying to coax her out with apologies: "We're really very sorry Sarah. Now that's she gone, you can go back." And yet she wouldn’t move: "Sarah was really upset and kept saying: "What have I done?"She refused to come out. No amount of apologising was going to budge her."

But budge she finally did nearly an hour later, when she met up with DJ boyfriend Tom Crane and started to drink away her sorrows. Now, that’s my girl.

Nicola Roberts blasts Pete Doherty

NicolarobertsClearly fed up with being referred to as the ‘ginger one’ in Girls Aloud, Nicola Roberts is keen to establish herself with a mouthy reputation to rival that of fellow Alouders (what else would you call them?) Cheryl Cole and Sarah Harding. She has been speaking out on everyone’s favourite bowler hat wearing, Kate Moss shagging junkie Pete Doherty, and she’s not mincing her words.

'I still don't understand why people print his picture. What he gets up to is really bad. People are dying out there of overdoses. People are really ill and in a troubled, frightened place. When someone like Pete is being portrayed as this super-cool rock star, it's awful. How many times has he been caught with drugs and he still isn't in jail? It's disgusting. He's an a***hole.'

I had no idea Nicola had such a sharp tongue on her, and am intrigued by the mounting of a moral high horse in the fickle world of pop. What next – Kylie takes on Courtney Love? Cliff Richard goes it alone versus Marilyn Manson, whipping out his bible and clocking the shock-rocker before he’s even had a chance to put on his make-up? Now those are some celebrity death-matches I would definitely tune in for.

In the news: Girls Aloud might split and Pink takes the piss out of Britney

76168108 -The Lohan parents have finally reached an agreement int their divorce/custody proceedings. The couple best known for famously exploiting their offspring and acting like teenagers will finally be over within 60 days. I'm sure Lindsay is breathing a sigh of relief. [BBC ]

-Now Harry Potter has ended what's next for J.K. Rowling? Some might think that being a mega millionaire was enough of a reason to lay down the pen forever, but our intrepid writer thinks not; her next work? A crime novel! She's been spotted scribbling in various Edinburgh cafes. Watch this spot... [Digital Spy ]

-Far be it for sexy popstrel Pink to rise above bitchy comments that characterize girl bands such as Girls Aloud and the Pussycat Dolls. No, instead she joins in with the throng; her latest line of attack, poor lil Britney Spears. In her set at the V festival she changed the lyrics of her song from 'tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears: she's so pretty', to 'she's so crazy'.  [NME ]

-There are rumours that Girls Aloud may split, due to the re-awakened romance between Nadine Coyle and love rat Jesse Metcalfe.   Bookmakers Paddy Power are offering odds of 2/1 that the popular girl band   will announce they're splitting by the end of the year. Nadine has even bought a house in LA to be closer to Jesse. [Belfast Tel ]

Girls Aloud to split soon?

_42012678_nadinejesse203paNow you might want to make sure you’re sitting comfortably for this bombshell – Girls Aloud are going to spilt up later this year. Well, that’s the gossip anyway. Nadine has been spotted back on the arm of ex Jesse Metcalfe prompting bookies to slash their odds of the girl group making it into 2008.

Despite the former Desperate Housewives actor (I use that term pretty loosely – he took off his shirt and pretended to hoe, that’s it) seen out on the town with a bevvie of beauties, Nadine has evidently forgiven her man and the two of them were photographed at an LA petrol station (oh, the glamour!) looking as loved-up as ever. She has brought a house in LA and her family have even moved there to set up an Irish bar (insert stereotype here.)

All this talk of settling down and domestic bliss might sound far from convincing given Metcalfe’s wandering eye, but after a good spell in the fickle world of pop, it could be a smart time for Girls Aloud to hang up their mini-skirts and call it a day. Paddy Power is offering odds of 2/1 that the ladies will soon split with their spokeswoman, Sharon McHugh, adding: "Nadine must be desperately in love with Jesse. Only a few weeks ago he was spotted canoodling on the beach with a mystery lady. At this rate it seems Nads would do anything for love, and a split could definitely be on the cards."

Nads? Isn’t that surprisingly matey for a bookie? Sounds like it’s hankies at the ready for those of you who enjoy sweatily gyrating to the sound of the underground. But not to worry – I’m sure there’ll each launch solo singles (*shudder*.)

Suzanne Shaw is jealous of Girls Aloud

SuzanneAndy Warhol might have said that we all get 15 minutes of fame, but for some 15 minutes isn’t enough. Some washed-up slebs will do anything to attract a bit of publicity once they slip off the front page of the tabloids: take ex Hear’Say member Suzanne Shaw. Suzanne’s moment in the spotlight included dating Darren Day (don’t all swoon at once girls) and now that the pop career’s dead and buried she has opted for new tactics: slag off other celebrities. It’s a tried and tested technique that never fails and always gets a response. But who is the pint-sized, former pop princess taking a pop at? None other than my favourite blow-up dolls, Girls Aloud.

Suzanne’s current beau, Radio One DJ Jason King, still has a career in music and so when he comes in contact with the lip-gloss, hair extensions and PVC that comprise Girls Aloud, she gets very jealous: “I get insecure when girls chat him up or if he flirts with someone. Every time he interviews Girls Aloud, I just want to stab them all! He meets the most stunning singers and film stars and I get jealous all the time.”

Is there a compliment in there somewhere about Girls Aloud being foxy babes or is it hidden by all the scary knife talk? Never one to call the kettle black, Suzanne might not appreciate her fella’s flirting but is keen to attract her share of the gents: “I love flirting, but it doesn't mean I'm going to sleep with anyone. Jason feels the same if guys chat me up, but he just never admits it. I want him to be jealous!”

Hey Suzanne, how’s about you take out your opposition with more unorthodox tactics? I’m sure the sight of you getting it on with Girls Aloud would soon stop his wandering eye.

Girls Aloud inspire sick story

Girls_aloud_promo_photo_sound_of_th I’ll come clean and admit that I’m not exactly the number one fan of girl group Girls Aloud. Though I applaud their ability to eek a career out of the minimal amount of talent, now is not the time for mean jibes. Why? Because it has been revealed that the five gyrating lovelies have inspired the gruesome Internet story ‘Girls (Scream) Aloud’. It is described as "the very sexy deaths of all five members of the world’s sexiest all-girl group" and includes nastiness such as torture, rape and mutilation – with their dismembered body parts being traded on eBay. Not one for the Harry Potter literary crowd.

The gals have put their brace faces on, with their spokesperson saying "We won’t give this person the satisfaction that the girls care. They have security with them all the time, they are safe enough." The Internet Watch Foundation have traced the site to America, but the UK based service which investigates icky stuff online admitted they face an uphill struggle in locating those responsible. A source revealed "Because it is hosted in the US, it falls outside our remit, but we are aware of this site. It also contains child abuse fantasy stories. We have passed on intelligence reports of the site on to British police for information. And that’s been passed on to the law enforcement agencies in countries where it is hosted." It’s all very ugly and we hope the girls don’t let it affect them. After all, Sarah Harding’s got some serious partying to do and can’t afford any silly distractions.

Sarah Harding kicks out at the press's "double standards"

73466543Sarah Harding was originally most famed for being the (most) haggered portion of Girls Aloud, the modern and slutty version of the Spice Girls for the noughties. But she's fast becoming renowned for her graceful stumblings from bars and clubs across the country.

Now she's shouting about the bad rep she gets for her massive alcohol consumption. Harding told The Mirror that she gets annoyed at the way female celebrities are portrayed when they are seen having a drink, in comparison to their male counterparts.

She said: "It's double standards," adding: "When blokes get drunk no one bats an eyelid. But when it's me or Amy Winehouse having a drink...we get slated. It's not fair...And anyway, what's wrong with us having a drink? It's what most girls our age do."

Comparing herself to mentally unstable booze maniac Ms Winehouse may not have been the best back-up to her argument, but she might just have a point. Still, when male celebrities get drunk we don't get to see them flashing their freshly waxed genital areas, so I don't think the celeb rags will be changing their ways any time soon.

In the news: Britney may be in the baby way and Lindsay Lohan looks lovely

0723_lindsay_lohan_scram_startraks -The lovely Lily Allen is at it again; blogging intimate details about celebrity friends for the whole MySpace community to read. her latest gaffe? Apparently 'hanging out with Courtney Love made her want to go to rehab'. Nice. [The Sun ]

-Is that a bump Britney Spears is showing? The singer who has worked so hard to lose her post pregnancy pounds may be in the family way again. The question of the daddy is also an issue, with rumours saying Britters isn't sure which man impregnated her. Could it be former lover and drug counsellor, John Sundahl, or her bodyguard, Daimon Shippen? She's come a long way from her virginal days... [Metro ]

-Girls Aloud are planning to grow up, and no I don't mean they will start lowering their hemlines or addressing each other as 'Women', but instead they plan to create a more 'adult' sound. 'We're obviously getting older and we always, you know, like to try and push things forward', said Kimberly. [Digital Spy ]

-Keeping off the booze seems to agree with Lindsay Lohan if her tanned toned bikini clad physique is anything to go by. Her ankle monitor unit is still prominent but she manages to carry it off with decided style. Sigh. [TMZ ]

In the news: Kate and William are back on again and Jesse Metcalf wants Nadine back

Jessemetcalfandnadine -Nothing gets the royal knickers all knotted up like gossip about Prince William and Kate Middleton, who reportedly are 'cosying up again'. Apparently 'William has persuaded Kate that the problems of dating a future  king are a price worth paying',says a source. It must be thought of all those future Hello spreads... [Monsters and Critics]

-Amy Winehouse is still a lush, despite telling doctors she was suffering from 'stress and exhaustion', she manges to miss a gig to spend time down the boozer. Lovely lass that, leaving 4,500 fans wanting so she can neck some extra liquor. I hope it has a medicinal effect when her fans start turning against her. [Metro ]

-Despite Jesse Metcalfe publicly cheating on Girls Aloud babe Nadine Coyle he still had hopes for an all singing all dancing reunion. To help him achieve this dream he has enlisted the help of non other than Nadine's Dad, who used to treat him like a son. That was before you trampled on his little angels heart love. I wouldn't hold out high hopes for open arms. [Now ]

-Jade Goody received a six month driving ban for a string of motoring offences including driving with a provisional licence and L plates. Her lawyer pleaded for it to be revoked citing “As a celebrity the interest by the public in Miss Goody is not always positive. It is impracticable for her to use public transport.” I guess it'll just have to be taxi's now love. [The Sun ]

So far she is considering Oaklands School in Loughton, Essex, which charges £2,550 per term and promises a “a high standard of education in a secure and disciplined environment”. [ The Sun ]

-Chantelle and Preston are no more.. but did Chantelle's breasts cause their split? Rumours suggest that Preston was unhappy with Chantelle's forthcoming breast enlargement, saying, '“I don’t like the idea of breast surgery. I find it absolutely grotesque.” There's nothing wrong with an A cup m'dear. [Entertainment Wise ]

-Girls Aloud join forces with Samsung Electronics in a commercial partnership that involves marketing and promotional opportunities. A spokesperson from Samsung says, "They are helping us form a deeper connection with our target consumers and we are excited to be able to join them at this pivotal point in their careers.” [Creative Match ]

-Kerry Katona has it hard nowadays, what with a purported cocaine habit and ex hubby Bryan McFadden threatening to sue for custody of her kids. Why he wants them I'm not sure as he has been heard saying that having children with Katona at a young age had been like "getting a dog". I think that makes you the bitch my friend. Celebrity Diet Watch: Cheryl Cole does Hypoxi Vacunaut

Hypoxi
We all wish we had the stars enviable figures; well now it seems that dream is a little nearer; and it has nothing to do with being Brad Pitt's secret love child. Rather than genes defining how you fill out hose Levi's there are a host of treatments available to keep you looking trim, and in this new weekly column Star Trip reveals the secret behind the size zero's.

Chery Cole: Hypoxitherapy

Recently voted as best legs in the business and happily living out the *dream* of being a WAG/popstrel Cheryl has it easy by any accounts. Long lustrous hair, almond shaped eyes and pins to die for. Well, I could recommend a good hairdresser for your tresses, but for the legs I suggest you do what Ms Cole does and invest in some Hypoxi sessions.

Hypoxitherapy is known to reduce the appearance of cellulite and apparently guarantees results. Of course you do have to insert your body into something that worryingly resembles a coffin, but once you are past that small hurdle the 'pressure' and intensity form the exercise should firm you up in no time. It's all down to magnetic therapy and some other wizardry, and if you use it  regularly they claim you will drop a dress size a month which sounds pretty good. '

'The Hypoxitherapy operates just like a normal bicycle trainer, except that, the rider is covered by a chamber from the hips down. The chamber's special feature is the vacuum system that creates the low atmospheric pressure, in which the rider cycles.'

It's not cheap; but it's less than liposuction, so if you can square it with your wallet this is one treatment it might be worth trying. Oh, and just for the record, they aren't paying me to say this, but should they want to throw a few 'trial ' sessions my way I'll be more than happy to oblige with an in depth review..

Jesse Metcalfe's jealous rages behind Nadine Coyle split?

Jessemetcalfe2thumb Yeah, yeah, this happened on Friday. But it was after I stopped working and I still have an opinion on it, so there. Nadine Girls Aloud has split up with Jesse no-shirt quitter Metcalfe.

So the first thing everyone pointed at was the photos of him with another woman last week. From beard to beard, the internet sempahore read. Nadine had grown tired of being the loving girlfriend in public and the hired distraction in private. But now the News of the World is saying she dumped him before the pics even came out over his jealous rages.

Truefact, or PR damage limitation from the girlie? You decide, after the jump.

“Nadine dumped Jesse because he’s a complete control freak. She was fed up of his jealous rages and after thinking about it long and hard decided to get rid of him. She really loved Jesse, but his rages got worse. He would cause huge rows and Nadine would back down, trying to make a joke of it at first.”

“But it was constant and in the end drove a wedge between them.”

“It was out of control. They would go out clubbing and Jesse would go ballistic if he saw Nadine dancing with another man - even if he was gay!”

“One of the turning points was when they were in LA and a British fan ran up to Nadine and asked for her autograph. Jesse hit the roof and shouted, ‘Why is she asking for your autograph? You haven’t even released a single here.’ Nadine couldn’t believe it. She did everything for him but he was an idiot.”

“You can’t blame Nadine. He pushed her and pushed her.”

Girls Aloud go back to school for Red Nose Day

Schoolgirls_450x300 In preparation for Red Nose Day, Girls Aloud have gone back to school for a new Walkers Crisps advert. Russel Brand will join the band to pose as a fellow classmate, with Steven Fry acting as their headmaster. The advert will be promoting oversized ears with Gary Linker, who's known for his own personal set, to raise money for the campaign on March 16. Well done, as this is for a good cause. However, it's unfortunate that Girls Aloud are not really going back to school, as I feel they should be forced to relearn how to sing, dance, and, most importantly, not butcher classic songs.

Girls Aloud and Sugababes video for "Walk This Way"

So, Girls Aloud and the Sugababes have teamed up for charity to record their cover of "Walk This Way". I'm not quite sure how many times we're going to have to deal with people butchering this song. It's over the top, it's filled with bad make-up and bad hair extensions...but it's for charity. That makes me almost forgive them for this video.

Spend your weekend with the Stars

Peteandkate_1 Ah, it's that time again, folks. It's Friday. But not just any Friday, oh no. It's a mega Friday in which we don't have to go back to work until about January 2 of next year. I can practically hear the angels and suffering cubical slaves weeping tears of joy from here.

So, if you'd like to find a good way of ditching your family, or hiding from your in-laws this weekend, why not spend some time stalking celebrities, or catching up on the latest gossip? Tis the season. So, today in Maida Vale, London, Radio 1 will be throwing at 12 hour Christmas party. 12 hours! Think of all the glorious, naughty fun you could have in 12 hours! Jimmy Carr and Ricky Gervis will be there, and who knows what other hot musical celebrities will show up!

There's a rumor floating around -again- that Kate Moss and Pete Dohertyy will be getting married in Westminster, London, tomorrow. Now, I really hope this isn't true. Not that I don't want them to be happy, but let's be honest, they're not the best couple in the world. However, if you're out and about tomorrow and have your best paparazzi gear on you, by all means, investigate!

Sunday is Christmas Eve, for those of you who care, and not much will be going on. However, the Christmas number one song will be revealed! Who do you think will top the UK's chart? The favorites are Leona Lewis, Girls Aloud, and for some reason Katie Price and Peter Andre. It's a toss up, really. However, my votes are for Katie and Peter. They're AWESOME!

Happy Holidays, lovely readers. We wish you the best! Stay safe, and try to stay warm!

Girls Aloud for PM!

Grillsaloud All five of them. I know it's unprecedented, but it might just work... Yes, Girls Aloud have been dispensing all manner of political wisdom in an interview with the New Statesman (which I'm not entirely convinced isn't a spoof). Here's Cheryl Cole on Conservative Party leader David Cameron:

"Politicians know we get listened to by more young fans than they do. That's why David Cameron said he fancied me. He was just trying to be cool! I bet he couldn't name a single song of ours. Do I fancy him? No! Politicians should stop trying to be cool and get on with running the country."

Meanwhile, Nicola Roberts says late-night political debate shows are a turn-off for youngsters, while Sarah Harding wants to see politics made more user-friendly. "It just isn't talked about in normal magazines and newspapers. We never get asked who we'd vote for. It could be a general question in an interview, but it isn't."

As I said, Girls Aloud for PM! Although if that means Blair, Cameron and Lib-Dem leader Menzies Campbell have to appear on Popworld miming to 'Something Kinda Ooh', then maybe not. Actually no, that's a fab idea too... Obviously, Charlotte Church would have to lead the opposition, following her past spats with the band. And Sarah would be the first candidate for an early sacking, given her tendency to wander off message.

Cheryl Tweedy calls a truce with Charlotte Church

Cheryltweedy_1 Perhaps mindful of the fact that Girls Aloud are engaging in a spat with the reformed All Saints, Cheryl Tweedy has called a dramatic truce in her war of words with Charlotte Church. Well, you know what they say about fighting on two fronts etc. "No more getting the claws into Charlotte Church," says Chez in today's Mirror. "That's right, I want to call a truce with Char because she's just like me really. We've got a lot in common - we both speak our minds. Things just spiralled out of control..."

However, that doesn't mean Cheryl doesn't have some other women trained in her beady headlights of disapproval. "I can't stand those women who throw themselves at footballers," she says. "They think footballers equal handbags and shoes for them. It's lazy, disgusting and materialistic."

I'm not going to make the obvious pot/kettle gag about Cheryl being married to Ashley Cole though. After all, on current form, she's probably his equal on the pitch, as well as on the household balance sheet.

Tabloid Tales: Sarah Harding bags big-bucks bra contract

Sarahharding Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding is going solo... but thankfully not in a musical sense. She's signed a £100,000 advertising contract with lingerie firm Ultimo, according to The Sun. And I'm guessing comments made by the paper's source won't make the rest of the band too happy.

"Sarah isn’t afraid of showing off her body — she’s got a great figure and she knows it," they tell the paper. "The other girls aren’t as confident about their bodies as Sarah so its not something they would go for. They have done sexy shoots for lads’ mags but doing a modelling deal in just bra and pants is not the same thing.”

Oof! If only there was a fly-on-the-wall documentary team present when the rest of the band read the story...

Tabloid Tales: Cheryl Cole's dog excuses

Cheryldog Is there ever any excuse for turning up late to a gig? Frustrated fans might think not, but what do celebs care? Axl Rose out of Guns'n'Roses kept a crowd waiting for nearly two hours recently after demanding a Shepherds Pie meal backstage, and now Cheryl Cole from Girls Aloud has an excuse nearly as good: her dog wouldn't let her leave the house without him. Quite.

“Every time Cheryl took him back into her house he followed her back out," bandmate Nadine tells The Sun, doubtless through gritted teeth. “In the end we were so late we just decided to bring him with us.” The dog watched the gig with his own minder, before stalking out declaring that he preferred the Sugababes' live act. Maybe.

Tabloid Tales: Jesse Metcalfe and Nadine Coyle reveal their pet names

Nadinecoyle Grab your sick bag now. Nadine out of Girls Aloud is in today's Mirror revealing the pet names used by her and boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe. Apparently she calls him 'Old Man Jesse' because "he's always saying how tired he is", while in return Jesse calls her 'Brat', or rather "He's always calling me a spoilt brat, but he does it in a funny way." Not to be rude, but it doesn't sound like a rosy relationship, where the man's always pleading tiredness and calling his girlfriend spoilt. But there you go.

Girls Aloud: dull and boring

Grillsallowedsarah And before Star Trip is overwhelmed by 'I could've told you that' comments, I'm quoting Sarah Harding out of, er, Girls Aloud. She had a pop at the rest of the band backstage at the V2006 festival, saying "The other girls are so dull and boring, getting married and having boyfriends. I'm the only one enjoying  a drink..." Judging by her other comments moaning to a newspaper journalist about being in a pop band and being badly paid, I'm guessing that's more than one drink.

I do love the way The Sun have covered the reaction to Sarah's comments though. "Her outburst stunned celeb agents and soap star Gary Lucy backstage at the V Festival." I'm not sure why shocking an ex Hollyoaks actor should make a story more newsworthy, but there you go. [Stuart Dredge]

Nadinecoyledancing Millions of women will be cursing Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle this morning. Not only has she the gall to snag Desperate Housewives gardener Jesse Metcalfe, but now she's been papped out dancing with... wait for it... ANOTHER MAN. One of her backing dancers, to be precise. Nadine Coyle and Jesse Metcalfe: Together (on-stage) at last!

Grillsallowed It's the musical collaboration of the year! Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle is apparently planning to duet with actor boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe at this year's V Festival - making them the Kylie and Jason of the 21st century. Or the Rene and Renata, I'm not sure. Bad luck festivalgoers though, the duet'll be in the Virgin Mobile Louder Lounge backstage at the fest, so they'll be performing to fellow celebs rather than their bottle-throwing rapt public.

Apparently Jesse is "a whizz" on the guitar (i.e. he can hack out three chords, and his agent hasn't dared tell him never to do it in public). [Stuart Dredge]

Nadine And Jesse - Set To Tie The Knot?

Nadine_3 They've been together all of five minutes, but Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle and Desperate Housewives gardener Jesse Metcalfe are reportedly thinking about tying the knot. It would appear that attending the wedding of Cheryl Tweedy and Ashley Cole has put the couple in a wedding frame of mind.

Nadine said: "I definitely want to get married before I am 30. I’ve always dreamed of a big white wedding back home in Ireland." She continued on the subject of boyfriend Metcalfe: "He is so sweet. He has met my parents and they think he’s great. I’ve never been so happy."

Yes, sweet. That's the essential characteristic you look for in the man you're contemplating spending the rest of your life with. Sweet. [Toni Kelly]

Cheryl Tweedy Voted Hottest WAG Over At The Sun

CherylOver at The Sun, their readers have been voting on the hottest English WAG (wife and girlfriend) of the World Cup, and the results have just come in. Pleasingly, the public don't seem to favour skin-and-bones Posh Beckham, as they placed Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy in at number one with 31% of the vote. Several unknown's followed, as robot-dancer Peter Crouch's girlfriend Abigail Clancy had 15%, Joe Cole's partner, Carly Zucker received 13%, and coming in laughably fourth, Victoria Beckham, with 8%. And what of Miss Chav herself, Colleen McLoughlin? The money-hungry Eastender was lubbed with a measly 4%, very surprising, considering it was the white van-driving Sun readers who were voting, after all. [Katherine Hannaford]

Cheryl Tweedy & Ashley Cole: Wedding Crisis.

Chezza Those folks over at Who Ate All The Bratwurst? might think the impending football World Cup is important or something, but I firmly disagree. The tournament is putting the wedding of Ashley and Cheryl in danger as the couple struggle to plan both a huge bash whilst Ashley tries to stay fit and injury free! It's just not on. Football before a huge celeb wedding? Who do I complain to?

Cheryl is said to be finding it difficult to plan the end-of-July nuptials with everything so up in the air with the World Cup. Ashley has only recently returned to the game following a long-term injury, so the pressure is on for him to be fit. A friend of Cheryl told Closer magazine: "She's looking forward to the World Cup and will be in Germany to support Ashley. She's desperate to make this wedding happen but doesn't want to end up rushing the plans. She wants Ashley to concentrate on the football and not worry about the wedding. She would prefer to cancel the bash if it means they can do it properly at the end of the summer."

Now that's going above and beyond fiancee-ing! [Toni Kelly]
