Michael Jackson's father will inherit nothing

jackson.jpgA Los Angeles judge has ruled that Michael Jackson's father will not inherit any of his son's assets. Joe Jackson had taken legal action over Michael's estate after discovering that he was not named in the will. BBC News reports that Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff has now dismissed the 80-year-old's objection, insisting that Michael's wishes must be respected.

Beckloff is quoted as saying in court: "I don't think he gets to step into this and create further litigation. Joe Jackson takes none of this estate. This is a decision his son made."

The judge also rejected the talent manager's attempt to challenge the appointment of lawyer John Branca and music executive John McClain as administrators of the estate.

Michael, who passed away on June 25, left his assets to his mother Katherine, three children and various charities.

Michael Jackson's children to form as pop group?

Michael-jackson Michael Jackson's father apparently wants the late singer's children to become a new version of The Jackson 5.  Boy, that's in bad taste if true. Joe Jackson, who managed the band when they first launched in '66, is reported to have asked Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11 and Blanket, 7, to appear on stage next year. Ian Halperin, who wrote Jackson's biography, told The Sun: "Joe wants the children to go on a world tour in 2010. He has also... offered recording contracts to two of Michael's kids. Now he is talking about getting them the world's best backing band and taking them on tour as The Jackson 3." Reports say that this has angered other members of the Jackson family. Halperin said: "One of the family members is livid. He is saying Joe seems intent to do this no matter what."

Mariah Carey says sorry for MJ Memorial performance

Mariah_carey_Mariah Carey has apologised for her performance at the Michael Jackson memorial service yesterday. The singer, who faltered during a rendition of 'I'll Be There' with Trey Lorenz, claimed that she was overcome with emotion after seeing Jackson's coffin on stage.

"Trying to sing today was basically impossible for me. I could barely keep myself from crying," she wrote on Twitter. "I'm sorry that I wasn't able to pull it together and really do it right, but I was literally choked up when I saw him there in front of me.

"One thing I know is, we will never really have to say goodbye to MJ. His legacy lives on through his music and the millions of people he inspired with his timeless music. He will be forever in our hearts."

US congressman calls Michael Jackson "a pervert"

Michael-jackson10 New York congressman Pete King has dubbed Michael Jackson a "pervert" and a "paedophile" and hit out at journalists for their positive coverage of the star since his untimely death. In a video posted by FriendsofPeteKing on YouTube, the Republican politician said: "Let's knock out the psychobabble. This guy was a pervert, he was a child molester, he was a paedophile and to be giving this much coverage to him day-in, day-out, what does it say about us as a country? We're too politically correct. No-one wants to stand up and say we don't need Michael Jackson. He died, he had some talent, fine. People are dying every day." Watch the video over the jump.

Michael Jackson left father out of will

Michaeljackson-1Michael Jackson's father Joe is reportedly not included in the will drafted by the late singer in 2002, it has emerged. Sources close to the star have said that a lawyer could submit the document to the Los Angeles Superior Court as early as this week, The Wall Street Journal reports. It is believed that the will divides Michael's estate between his mother Katherine, his three children and one or more charities, but does not include his father Joe, with whom he had a difficult relationship.

Jackson family lawyer L. Londell McMillan said: "No will has been presented to family or us. We will review any will when we see it." Reports have suggested that Michael's parents told the courts on Monday that their son died without a valid will.

Michael Jackson wants an elephant for tour

Michael-jacksonMichael Jackson has reportedly decided that he wants to ride an elephant on stage at his upcoming London concerts. He's not doing himself any favours with the whole 'Wacko Jacko' crowd is he? According to The Mirror, the 'Thriller' star has asked organisers of his 50-date residency at the O2 arena to provide a panther, snakes, tropical birds and three monkeys to complement his planned jungle theme.

"He hopes to make it the most spectacular gig ever. For the jungle section, he wants to ride out on an African elephant with panthers led on gold chains. Parrots and other birds will fly behind him. If it goes to plan it will look incredible," explained a source.

Jackson is also hoping to convince 100 Masai warriors to travel to the capital and take part in his shows. However, insiders have suggested that Jackson's managers are unhappy with the proposals in light of the additional costs involved. They are also said to be worried about breaching animal welfare laws which ban the use of non-domestic animals on stage.

Michael Jackson's Thriller threat

Michaeljackson'Bad' singer Michael Jackson has told songwriters his new album must be better than 'Thriller' or he won't release it.

Michael Jackson is determined to make his new album better than 'Thriller'.

The 50-year-old singer is so desperate to ensure his comeback is a success, he has reportedly told songwriters he won't release the LP unless it is up to the same standard as his 1982 smash-hit album.

Rapper Ne-Yo, who is working on the record, said: "Michael's new album has to be amazing. This album needs to be better than 'Thriller'. He wants killer melodies. I've already submitted some songs but we have no idea when it's coming out. He keeps putting it off."

The rapper revealed Michael - who has become increasingly reclusive since he was acquitted of child sex charges at his 2005 trial - is incredibly nervous at the prospect of re-launching his career.

Ne-Yo added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Michael is very nervous as he knows he's the underdog and people want him to fail. It's tough when all eyes are on him and there is so much young competition out there."

The young star, who has written hits for Rihanna and Beyonce, also admitted he was terrified at the prospect of meeting Michael, who he has looked up to since he was a child.

He said: "My hands were shaking like never before. But the great thing is that I get to work with my idol and he is really cool."

Difficult guest Michael Jackson

Michaeljackson Michael Jackson has been named one of The World's Worst Hotel Guests, along with Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse, Mariah Carey and Nicole Kidman.

Michael Jackson has been named one of The World's Worst Hotel Guests.

Jackson was included on the list compiled by website concierge.com due to his irresponsible behaviour in dangling his nine-month-old son Prince Michael II over the balcony of a hotel in Berlin, Germany, in 2002.

The website also criticises Jackson for forcing the World Music Awards to book nearly the whole of London's Hempel Hotel before his performance in 2006.

He also asked staff to erect an 18ft wall on the first floor to protect his privacy.

In 2007, Jackson reportedly requested bowls of Haribo gummy sweets, a large mirror, and a giant xylophone for his stay at another London hotel.

Other celebrities to be named on the list include Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Nicole Kidman and Amy Winehouse.

Britney has been shamed for reportedly trashing rooms at hotels in Los Angeles' Beverly Hills area and attracting swarms of paparazzi.

Mariah appears for her alleged diva demands such as requesting gold faucets, new toilet seats, mineral water for her bath and dogs and two DVD players showing her own music videos. She also insisted on a red a carpet greeting at London's Baglioni Hotel before she would leave her limo.

'Rehab' singer Amy is accused of wrecking rooms by leaving alcohol stains, dirty underwear, bottles and cigarette butts in her rooms, and staining bathtubs with black hair dye.

Before her performance at the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards, Amy tossed a plate of pasta Bolognaise at the wall of her hotel room in Munich, Germany, before cutting up the carpet in front of bemused onlookers.

Neverland Ranch saved from sale by mystery benefactor (well, a private equity group)

Mja Tell me I'm not the only one who's been hoping the place would be bought up by a real cowboy and restored to the actual cattle ranch it surely once was, with perhaps a trough or something kept aside for Michael to sleep in. So share in my disappointment at the news that, just days before the place was due to be auctioned, Neverland has been snapped up. The enigmatically-named 1224 LLC (Colony Capital, a New York-based private equity group) have bought out his loans of around $24 million and saved the land from auction. So, Jackson remains the official owner of Neverland Ranch... for now. But at what long-term cost to his wallet, sanity and family? I implore you, Michael: think of the children.

Has Michael Jackson married his children's nanny - again?

Michael2520jackson20todayWould you marry Michael Jackson? Apparently the former King of Pop enjoyed married life so much that he’s gone and gotten himself a new bride – his nanny. No, this isn’t a flashback to 1996 and his nuptials with Debbie Rowe. This is a whole new nanny and a whole new bride – that guy sure has a type. MJ is said to have secretly wed third wife 40-year-old Grace Rwaramba in Las Vegas (classy) earlier in the year.

The National Enquirer has gotten its mitts on a real estate document from MJ’s camp that states that the Moonwalker is married, and a chum has gone public on their ‘love’: "Grace... is one of his dearest friends. She is one of the few people who stood by his side through all of his problems - including the child molestation trial in 2005." Michael’s spokespeople are denying the union, but really why bother? It’s hardly the worst publicity he’s ever had.

Michael_jackson

Cityrag have created a picture showing what they think Michael Jackson would look like now if he'd managed to avoid all that plastic surgery.

Cosmetic surgeries of the stars revealed

Air-brushing, good lighting, constant supervision from a make-up artist (how very Victoria Beckham) – there are many ways for celebrities to look better on the front cover of a magazine than how they look first thing in the morning. What is quite depressing is how many of them take it a step further and get cosmetic surgery. Slebs, with the media, present the world with unattainable ideas of beauty and then struggle to meet their own standards. For those of you having a spot break-out today, hate your wonky nose or wish you had fuller lips, never fear as Star Trip is at hand to make you feel better. We present a quite revealing YouTube clip of stars who have had a bit of help from their surgeon, from those you knew had, to those that you didn’t. According to this, no-one in Tinseltown is actually naturally good-looking – score!

Michael Jackson sells his memorabilia

72575976_2

The King of Pop is selling off some of his togs in a giant auction at the Hard Rock Casino, Las Vegas. Now you can own a piece of pop history, with signed letters, photos, and costumes from his stage shows.

74345041Some of the clothing on sale is from his time in the Jackson 5, while others, like this jacket, might be a little more familiar. Masks and alien-like costumes from Thriller are also on offer, so you can expect many Jackson fans to be ogling all the goodies on display.

Quite why Michael needs to sell his treasured memories at auction aren't clear, considering he was recently paid $5 million by the Brunei sultan just to attend a party, so he can't be short of cash. Maybe he just wants more room in his attic?

Celebrity patents on the new Google Patents website

On the new Google Patents website, there are some seriously scary inventions. My favorite, is Michael Jackson's patent for "Anti-Gravity Shoes". The Metro reports other celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis, Marlon Brando, and even US President Abraham Lincoln tried their hand at inventing.

Michael Jackson warned David Gest NOT to go on I'm A Celebrity...

Davidgest_3 You know when Michael Jackson warns you off something it must be pretty weird. But apparently he warned his mate David Gest not to go on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. At least, according to Dave's bodyguard Imad Handi. "Michael said he was mad for doing it," he tells The Sun. "He called him and tried to talk him out of it. But I thought it would be good for him."

What's more, Imad also reckons David might get back with ex-wife Liza Minnelli in the future, saying "they had a wonderful marriage" (give or take the odd flying vase). An emotional reunion in the jungle? Don't bet against it. ITV has a fat chequebook...

Michael Jackson gets a wooden makeover on eBay

Michaeljacksonwood I know Jacko's looking a bit unusual these days, but wooden? Well, yes in this case. Someone's selling a  35-inch wood carving of Michael, although they don't know who made it (or more importantly, why?). Anyway, he's dressed in a red martinet's costume, is clutching a microphone, and is yours for $1,200 at the time of asking. Also today on Bayraider: a replica of the golden gun from, er, The Man With The Golden Gun, and a Guns'n'Roses pinball machine.

Quote of the Week with Joan Rivers

Joanrivers_2God bless Joan Rivers and her gigantic mouth and invisible tact. She recently launched a tirade against several 'slebs, saying of Angelina Jolie 'She can catch fish in her big lower lip', Suri Cruise, 'She's obviously Asian and wears a wig', and Michael Jackson 'I would've forced my grandson to let Michael pet him to get the $36 million that all the other kids got'. The world would be a more boring place without her, bless.

Michael Jackson Loses Legal Representation - Again

Jackson_2 Oh dear. It would appear that Michael Jackson has been clumsy; he's lost legal represenation, for the second time in a year. The troubled singer is currently fighting a legal battle against Prescient Acquisition Group, who claim he owes them a whopping $48 million.

Legal firm Wachtel & Masyr asked to be withdrawn from their position of Jackson's representatives after, they claim, they couldn't get hold of the superstar singer for over four weeks. In a letter to the federal judge in charge of the case, they said: "Unfortunately, Mr Jackson has failed to respond to every email and telephone message left for him over the past four weeks."

Jackson has been told to re-organise his legal team by September 5th 2006. [Toni Kelly]

Michael Jackson In 'That's Not Charity!' Dispute.

Jackson_1 It hasn't been the best week for Michael Jackson so far, but it's about to get even worse. The troubled singer will not be releasing his much-awaited charity single "What More Can I Give" due to a row over royalties.

The so-called King of Pop would have been due to reap the financial rewards of the tracked, which was meant to raise money for the families of victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on New York. However, Jackson has decided that he wishes to keep the copyright of the song and had no intention of donating the money raised from it to charity. The only 'charity' part of the charity single would be proceeds from the record sales in stores.

Fox News entertainment reporter Roger Friedman said: "Everyone on the CD is supposed to waive their fees too, including the musicians, performers and engineers. But rights to the music remain with him, and he would reap the financial rewards."

Not really the best way to go about getting the public back on his side, is it? [Toni Kelly]

Michael Jackson - is he the Daddy?

Jackson So-called 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson may lose two of his children following court claims that he isn't the biological father to Prince Michael, 9, and Paris, 8, according to some news reports. The troubled singer is facing a court battle over the two children with ex-wife Debbie Rowe. Although Rowe signed off all of her parental rights to Jackson five years ago, she is now attempting to gain custody of the pair and has claimed the children were fathered by an anonymous sperm donor, not Jackson.

Reports that Prince Michael and Paris are "keeping their fingers crossed and hoping it's true" are unfounded (because I just made them up). But come on, Jackson as Daddy or some anonymous guy who couldn't be bothered with fatherhood and just wanted money for jacking off? I know who I'd prefer... [Toni Kelly]
