Peaches Geldof marriage a 'publicity stunt'
This won't come as much of a surprise to some of you out there... but apparently, Peaches Geldof married Max Drummey as a publicity stunt, the rock star has claimed.
Drummey said that the pair tied the knot last August in a bid to help promote his band Chester French.
"It was totally a publicity stunt. 100%. I have Peaches on a retainer. Not as my PR, as my friend. On my personal payroll," Metro quotes him as saying.
"She's my friend for money. She also orchestrates publicity stunts for me. I've garnered so much publicity from awesome people."
Crikey. There goes your bands credibility then!

Peaches split caused by 'affair'
Peaches Geldof's marriage to Max Drummey wasn't exactly taken seriously by those looking on (ie, us) and now, reportedly, it wasn't taken very seriously by her either. Apparently, she had an affair with another man. Geldof allegedly dumped the 24-year-old after becoming "besotted" by Donald Cumming, a singer with US rock band The Virgins.
"Peaches has been seeing Donald for weeks. She really likes him," a source told The Sun. "She couldn't care less about Max. As far as she is concerned she just married him for a laugh and he needs to move on now that she has got bored of him.
"Her dad is relieved she has ended the relationship, which he never believed was ever based on more than alcohol and teen irresponsibility."
The couple announced their divorce over the weekend, just six months after hitching in Vegas. "Peaches hasn't learnt a thing from this marriage and couldn't care less what people think of her," the source added.

Peaches Geldof loves Kerry Katona
Peaches Geldof, who was branded a "sad little girl" by Kelly Osbourne, has amde an amazing admission... that she's a huge fan of Kerry Katona!
Geldof revealed that she can't get enough of the former Atomic Kitten's MTV reality series.
"I love Kerry so much. Her show was my favourite thing on TV. She's such a train wreck but she's amazing," she told Closer magazine. She continued by saying that she wanted to see Katona clad in a 'dress made of Iceland bags'.
Errr.... right.

Peaches Geldof's ex reunion
Bob Geldof's daughter Peaches spent her first night back in the UK with her ex-lover Faris Badwan following her shock Las Vegas wedding to Max Drumney.
After returning home, Peaches, 19, is said to have called ex-boyfriend Faris Badwan and invited him to her London home.
Faris, 21, spent the night, despite the fact Peaches had wed American musician Max Drummey only days before (05.08.08). Peaches met Drummey, 23, in July when his band played at the UK iTunes festival, which she was presenting.
A source close to Peaches told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "No one could believe Peaches had invited Faris round as soon as she got back, never mind let him stay the night.
"They were a couple before she went to Las Vegas, then she decides to get married on a whim, comes back and rings up Faris as if what she has done is the most normal thing in the world.
"She lives in a bubble and is loving all the attention. But she's a married woman now and needs to grow up."
According to Faris' friends he didn't know of Peaches' wedding until it was made public on Tuesday (12.08.08). He went to see Peaches for a furious showdown rather than make a bid to reconcile and the pair slept in separate rooms.
A friend of Faris told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Faris knew Peaches was going to the US for work but that was it. He feels he's been made a laughing stock during all of this and is only now getting to the bottom of what happened."
Peaches is also set for a dramatic showdown with her father, Bob, when he returns from holiday in Majorca next week. Bob is reportedly furious with his daughter's actions and was only told of the wedding plans hours before the 15 minute ceremony.
Bob himself wed Peaches' late mother, Paula Yates, in a Las Vegas ceremony.

Did Peaches Geldof get caught for shoplifting?
You would think that with the amount of free swag they get given, that even the lowliest of celebrities wouldn't need to shoplift. But once in a while, these flighty stars of showbiz get their grubby paws on something nice and simply forget to pay. Richard Madeley made off with some wine, Bai Ling nabbed some magazines and batteries and now Peaches Geldof has joined the club, with claims that she stole an expensive dress. So what's the story, Peaches?
The Victim fashion boutique, near Carnaby Street, is claiming that the celebrity spawn made off with an expensive cream dress on Thursday. Her management team was called about the incident and the red-faced DJ returned two hours later, passing the whole thing off as a "misunderstanding".
The swanky store's manager, Nazinna Douglas, doesn't quite see it that way though. "She can get everything she wants for free," fumed Douglas. "To her taking a dress means nothing but it's not something we take lightly. This is our livelihood. It's just not fair."
The designer of the pricey dress was similarly unimpressed with Peaches' behaviour. "She said sorry and that it was a misunderstanding, but the dress is ruined," complained designer Mei-hui Liu. "She said the dress had got caught up in her scarf and because it was the same colour she didn't realise she had it in her arms. The agent's assistant arrived on Friday afternoon with the money for the dress. The dress is worth £500 but we charged £250."
Geldof's management has defended the wayward youngster. "The claim is totally incorrect. Peaches has a receipt for the supposed stolen dress. It was an honest mistake at the time and Peaches went back to the store having been told the dress was missing.
"The payment was made [on Friday] because the store's credit card machine was not working [on Thursday]. She most definitely has not been shoplifting and nothing has been reported to the police."
Mmm – what do you think Star Trippers? Another case of celebrity muscle ensuring they get what they want, whether they should or not? Or is the store trying to score some publicity from clientele as tabloid-friendly as the young Miss Geldof? The jury is officially out.

Peaches Geldof flops with musical performance
The list of celebrity offspring known simply for their parents' musical success is far from short. Kimberley Stewart (daughter of rocker Rod) wangled a TV show for herself (granted it was on LIVING and exactly four people saw it), while Kelly and Jack Osbourne are now as famous to the MTV generation as their hell raising pa Ozzy. But truly excelling herself at the tricky task of doing absolutely nothing but becoming famous is Bob Geldof's daughter Peaches. She's tried (and most often failed) at the likes of DJing, modelling and television presenting, but now she's got a new hobby – music. I guess it was all too predictable…
The lucky venue hosting Peaches' musical warblings was the Hospital Club in Covent Garden, where last night she sang backing vocals to rock band Rodnik. Being a true wild child, she worked some diva behaviour into her performance forgetting lyrics and dropping the microphone (someone's been watching Amy Winehouse), though the audience failed to see the magic.
Her ex-boyfriend Fred Les made an early exit saying: "It's one of the worst performances I've ever seen," while others also made a beeline for the door with their fingers in their ears.
Being the multi-talented lady she is I'm sure Peaches will bounce back from this musical mis-step and soon be impressing us with her next career venture. What do we think that should be?

Does Peaches Geldof have a new boyfriend?
For a celebrity sprog that seems to do nothing but whine and pout a lot, Peaches Geldof seems to have established herself as a media darling. If she’s not bleaching her hair to emulate her dead mum Paula Yates, she’s galloping down a catwalk. Now the daughter of Sir Bob has gone and bagged herself a new fella – E4 presenter Nick Grimshaw. Though officially still with boyfriend Fred Les, the couple’s flirting turned heads at the launch of the Olsen twin’s fashion line at Harvey Nichols.
A witness blabs: "Peaches is an outrageous flirt (no, really? Who’d have thought it?) and she was delighted when she saw Nick. At first they were chatting but then they decided to leave together, and that is when things started to get interesting." Is that it, all we’re going to get? It sounds like the start of a movie trailer before being rudely cut off. Come on ‘witness’ don’t tease – we want more!

Punto promises Peaches Geldof a car when she finishes A Levels
Party loving Peaches may soon be the owner of a pretty like Fiat Punto as Very Punto People (VPP) have offered her one on completion of her exams. It's a good thing they aren't awarding it to her on the basis of results, as just last week she had to pull out of a gig with Tommy Lee as she'd forgotten she had an A Level to sit the next day. That's not an encouraging start to her academic career; but I guess Daddy can always buy her Oxbridge entrance. Then again the VPP team is renown for their lavish parties and over the top events, so perhaps they aren't overly bothered about her actual schooling. It's a little worrying that this airhead socialite will just be given a car by an organization that specializes in alcoholic events; the whole drink and drive issue hopefully won't arise, but in light of the misadventures of her contemporaries she should watch out. It's not like she can't afford a taxi..

Tabloid Tales: Peaches Geldof sings!
Cor, Peaches Geldof is taking her spat with Lily Allen into the charts, after becoming the singer in a proper band. Today's Sun reveals that Peaches has joined Cosmetique, who the paper describes as "Hoxton-based electro-popsters". That's my favourite genre for sure. Anyway, Peaches has replaced the band's previous singer Sarah Churchill, and The Sun reckons she's got a good voice, comparing her to Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
I did a bit of snooping, and found Cosmetique's MySpace page, where you can listen to a few songs. I'm not sure if it's Peaches or Sarah singing though, but 'All The Same' is the track that The Sun refers to, so that could be Peaches.

Fight! Fight! Fight! Lily Allen squares off with Peaches Geldof
I'm outraged at the Mirror, which appears to be siding with Peaches Geldof in her spat with "pugnacious pop pixie" Lily Allen. It was daggers drawn at this weekend's V2006 festival: after Peaches reportedly called Lily a cokehead, Lily stalked up to her and spat on her shoes. "It was disgusting," says an eye-witness, although they then go on to scotch any pretence at being an unbiased eye-witness by adding "She was with her chubby mate Miquita Oliver from T4." Ouch!
Star Trip is FIRMLY in Lily's corner, although we have to admit she did start it by, er, calling Peaches' dad a "c***" earlier in the year. [Stuart Dredge]

Peaches Geldof Goes Wild in Ibiza
If I was a rich young thing with time on my hands, I'd probably skip off to Ibiza and have it large for weeks at a time. I'm not sure I'd whip off my thong and throw it into the crowd at a Kasabian gig though - there's nothing worse than cold down-belows when those cold Spanish nights draw in...
That didn't stop Peaches Geldof though, whose undercracker-flinging exploits are documented in today's Sun. That said, the 17-year-old didn't impress Kasabian's bouncer, who refused to let her backstage three times after the gig. If Bob Gelfof didn't like Mondays before, today's story is hardly going to improve his mood. [Stuart Dredge]
