Peter Andre says nice things about Katie Price
The break up of Peter Andre and Katie Price has been unsurprisingly public. However, he's been surprisingly vitriolic about it all, making albums about the whole thing and getting indignant on TV. Well, now he's been playing nice and has revealed that he's now focusing on the happier times he shared with Jordan when he looks back on their marriage.
Speaking on This Morning, the singer confirmed that he has many fond memories of the time he spent with Price, despite his decision to end their relationship last year.
Andre explained: "There were a lot of great times in that marriage. I think it's very important as time goes on to focus on the good times. You can't focus on the bad.
"We've got three beautiful children, we had amazing times and we went on amazing holidays. We had a great life."
And what about his calling Price's marriage to Alex Reid "a joke"? Well, it appears he may have cooled a little these days.
He said: "Yes, there was something in one of the papers yesterday - that I had considered her marriage a joke. But that's taken from my reality show which was filmed five months ago, and my reaction to when it first happened."
Aw. Everyone's playing nicely. Katie Price, balls in your court to put a fly in the ointment...

Katie Price uses children against Andre
Oh dear. Katie and Peter continues to get incredibly messy. She's got married, he's been K.I.S.S.I.N.G. with someone. Despite the fact that Price was hopping into bed with someone with Andre barely out of the door, she appears to be going mental at the minute, with the latest rumour being that she's using her children in her battle with Peter Andre over his fling with stylist Maddy Ford.
According to Heat, Price urged Junior - her 4-year-old son with Andre - to quiz his father about the relationship in a telephone conversation.
A source said: "It was awful. Junior didn't really understand what was going on and she was in the background telling him what to say. She was saying to him, 'Daddy is a liar. Look, Daddy's kissing another girl... See how Daddy treats mummy now? That girl is called Maddy - that's Daddy's girlfriend. Ask him about Maddy, Junior'.
"The picture she waved in front of Junior's face was of Peter and Maddy together in his video, but Junior didn't understand that - he just saw his dad with another woman."
They added: "He was confused, and at Jordan's request he asked Pete, 'Daddy, why did you lie?'. It was heartbreaking, and I know Pete was devastated at Junior being dragged into it. Pete kept trying to reassure Junior that he had nothing to worry about and that everything was okay. He didn't want to address the situation over the phone, but he kept saying, 'Mummy and Daddy both love you, Junior, very much. That's all that matters'. The two of them are really close, so the whole exchange really upset them both."
Bah.

Peter Andre breaks down on Sky News
Poor old Peter Andre. He seems like a nice, sensitive chap doesn't he? He's a silly sausage though because he's conducting a divorce and break-up in public when he's clearly not equipped to do it (unlike his ex-wife who seems to conduct absolutely every waking hour of her life in public... even when she's being a rudey-dudey). Now, Andre has appeared on Sky News to talk about the divorce and his children and mean ol' Kay Burley prodded and probed him until he had a cry. You can watch the video over the jump. It's all rather depressing really.

Emotional Andre gives TV interview
Peter Andre has given his first television interview since splitting from Katie Price, during an emotional appearance on This Morning.
He told presenters Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton that he would never badmouth his estranged wife for the sake of their children.
"The kids are going to grow up and I know they are going to look back at everything. I don't want them to look back and ask 'Dad why did you say that?'" the Daily Mail quotes him as saying.
"I hope people don't think that [the miscarriage] was behind our split. There's a lot of reasons why we split up. What's done is done. You've got to move on. The kids are everything to me.
"I want to speak, but I have got to think about the long term - but it can be hard. When you don't speak you only hear one side of the story." He went on to say that the couple could not complain about the public interest in their private life, saying: "It's our fault... I know I'm going to make mistakes. Sharing your life so publicly can be a mistake."

Ex-nanny speaks out against Jordan and Peter Andre
Jordan might have dyed her hair brown and had her boobs down-sized, but her cleaned up image is under threat. Becky Gauld, the star's former nanny who was publicly dismissed on her ITV2 reality show 'The Baby Diaries', has been spilling the beans on the glamour model's life with husband Peter Andre and how she raises her children. Gauld has been talking to 'The News of the World' (because that is the place to go for credible journalism) and is keen to reveal her version of events (how did Jordan not slap her with a no-talking clause in her contract?)
So what naughtiness is Jordan accused of? First off, she's a bad mum claims Gauld: "I only saw Katie or Pete put the boys to bed four times in the 18 months I worked for them." The ex-nanny alleges that Jordan let her disabled son Harvey gorge himself on McDonalds chicken nuggets (quick – someone call Jamie Oliver!) even though dangerously overweight and taught him to swear for the amusement of her friends. Gauld also casts doubt on Jordan's OK! picture perfect life with walking six-pack Peter Andre, claiming that "she would sometimes come in completely trashed and start vomiting. They would shout and Peter would call her a slag."
A pal of Jordan's has leapt to her defence, talking to 'The Daily Star' (what 'The Times' wasn't interested?) shouting off about imminent legal action and how the nanny better be careful when wandering dark streets by herself (probably.) "She trusted her and brought her into her house and now she's been betrayed. Kate is calling in her lawyers and is determined to show she's innocent of these accusations."
Don't worry Jordan – even if you are found guilty of being an absolutely abysmal mother, without a scrap of maternal instinct or parental love – you'll always have Britney Spears to make you feel better.

Katie and Peter Unleashed tells us a lot of things we didn't want to know
Some people like to keep their private life under wraps, kissing chastely at stations and only holding hands when no one can see. Katie Price and Peter Andre are not this kind of couple, relishing nothing more than taking an X rated view of Richard and Judy and regaling us on the sofa with all their nocturnal antics much to the discomfort of pretty much everyone who really really doesn't want to picture it. basically the loved up bronzed twosome sit on a sofa, discuss each others genitals and make crude The Sun style jokes. Thankfully it's only on ITV2, but I'm sure Channel 4 is considering it. Oh dear.

Peter Andre calls wife Jordan a 'filthy bitch'
Why don’t they just get it over with and hump on national television? Married couple Peter Andre and Jordan/ Katie Price (name dependent on what she’s doing) seemed to come pretty close when they first met on ITV reality show ‘I’m a Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here!’ and now they have been revealing more saucy secrets about their sex life. Peter blabbed: "Katie is a filthy bitch and I'm her temptation. Everybody has fantasies and when it comes to sexual ones, when you close your bedroom door and it's just you and your partner, anything goes. If we're sat downstairs with the kids and the nanny, Kate tells me off if I discreetly suggest we sneak off upstairs. She'll say 'Pete, you make it so obvious you want to go upstairs for a shag'. And I get really embarrassed. I'm like 'Thanks honey!' So that blows that out."
And all this comes after Jordan/ Katie recently compared Peter’s goods to a Sky+ remote and their lovemaking to horror film Hostel. Dear God people, we get it: you’re married and quite fancy each other. It’s natural and nothing to be ashamed of, but think of your children – do they want to have to grow up and read all this nasty trash talk from their mummy and daddy?

Peter Andre has "indestructable" marriage
Peter Andre has claimed that his marriage to Katie Price is now "indestructible". Like a cockroach in a nuclear bomb. The 'singer' revealed that having children with Katie has strengthened their relationship like never before. "I think the key to a successful marriage is children; it creates such a strong family unit," Peter told OK! magazine. "I think lots of people think if they get married, if it doesn't work out who cares, but if you have kids you're tied together. We're even more indestructible than before."
Then, when the kids see mum's horrendous 'glamour' snaps and hear the cat wails of your album, they'll run away screaming, ne'er to return again. Then your marriage might not be as indestructable.

Lots of people like Katie Price and Peter Andre's duets album
And when I say 'like', I mean really like. Just check out the user reviews on Amazon for the Price/Andre album of duets that's just come out. Most of them give it 5 stars, and they're simply marvellous. Star Trip's favourite is below, but you can read them all here.
"What a wonderful experience. It reminded me of that time I was walking along a running stream in a wooded glade when I spotted the water turning a pale shade of red. This I attributed to the cherry blossom that was overhanging the water's edge dropping into and colouring the water but upon further inspection I discovered a number of floating, disgorged sheep, guts and entrails spewing out and blood trailing along in swirls behind each carcass. I shall always treasure that moment as I shall this album."

This is certainly not Jordan and Peter Andre singing very badly
Get ready for your ears to drop off and hide under the sofa trembling. You're about to hear something that sounds suspiciously like Peter Andre and Jordan singing their version of 'A Whole New World'. It seems that the lawyers for the pair aren't happy with this video unless you write IT'S A SPOOF lots of times. So even though this video could only be described as a SPOOF, one can't help but notice the similarities in the voices you can hear... on this SPOOF... that really does sound like Andrex and Jordan making horrible music.

Spend your weekend with the Stars
Between office Christmas parties, and mandatory Holiday festivities, why not add some fun to your weekend? There's lots of, um, interesting Celebrity functions going on that you can take part in! If you're in Ashover today, Prince Charles and Camilla will be taking a tour of the city and turning on the Christmas lights! Who wouldn't want to schmooze with the best looking couple in Britain?
On Saturday, drop by The Astoria and take the wonderful opportunity to see Jordan and Peter Andre lip-synching live! Or, if you don't feel like giving yourself a headache, you could always go into London's Selfridges and see Gordan Ramsey or Shayne Ward at WH Smith Newcastle Greenhead!
And lastly, for our New York readers, on Sunday take the chance to see Renee Zellweger and -sigh- Ewan McGregor at the premiere of Miss.Potter!
Doesn't rubbin' elbows with celebrities and Royals sound much better than elbowing people in shopping malls this weekend?

Jordan and Peter Andre's "Whole New World" video
The chemistry between these two positively seeps with natural talent. Sure they completely ripped off parts of Justin Timberlake's video for Sexyback, but Jordan's 48 costume changes throughout the entire video is such a visual treat. Did I mention the marriage proposal on a balloon at the end? If this video doesn't win all kinds of awards, I will be shocked. Shocked, I tell you.
If you can stop laughing long enough to actually watch this video in it's entirety, please do. It's worth it. This may one of the best things I've seen in a long time. It is pure gold. Magnificent, even.
Thank God they have a pre-nup, after the success of this video who knows how much money they'll make. I mean, we're talking tens, if not hundreds of pounds!

Jordan and Peter Andre DO have a pre-nup, unlike the McCartneys...
Today's Sun has a big feature promising "the naked truth" about Jordan and Peter Andre, although I'd prefer the fully-clothed truth, to be honest. It turns out the couple did sign a pre-nuptial agreement before getting married, but at Peter's request, not Jordan's. Really. And no, it doesn't get to stipulate who'll get to keep all the unsold copies of their forthcoming duets album.
"As soon as Kate accepted my marriage proposal I made it clear I wanted to sign a pre-nup," Pete tells the paper. "There was one reason and one reason only — so Kate would always know that I loved her for her and wasn’t after any cash if things went wrong."
Sir Paul McCartney must be wishing he'd signed a similar agreement now. Pete says he's shocked by Macca's split from Heather Mills, but Jordan isn't surprised at all.
"I know a lot of people who know Heather and they all claim she was always after a rich man," she says. "They say she’s got a fame hunger. She got her baby out of it and that’s what she tried to do. I know it’s rude for me to say all of this as I don’t know her personally, but that’s what people who do have told me. You’d have thought he’d have signed a proper pre-nup."

A Week With Jordan & Peter
I would imagine Peter has been in hot water this week after magazine reports alleged wife Jordan had a drinking problem, whilst listing their source as Peter's own autobiography. Ouch. Since then, the pair have been busy setting the record straight as Jordan denies an alcohol problem and just says Peter doesn't like her when she drinks. I'm not sure what the big deal about something so small is - when my husband has had one too many he starts singing about how much he misses Ireland - but that's the world of celebrity for you.
I'd just like to say something on the subject of Peter's autobiography. I've seen proof copies of it and the typeface and layout of the cover is exactly the same as it was for Jordan's first book, Being Jordan. Whilst I know these two are trying to be a global power couple, couldn't he have at least had something a bit different? Despite the book going into Peter's pop career, it's still called All About Us. Poor lad, bet he'd hoped for a bit of individual recognition for a change.

Jordan's no alcoholic, despite Peter Andre's fears
Cor, no sooner do we suggest that it's been a quiet week for Jordan and Peter Andre, then they go and splash themselves all over the tabloids in an alcohol-related furore. The News Of The World yesterday had Pete Lifting The Lid on Jordan's Booze Hell, saying that "Kate's had problems with drink. She knows she can't handle it. It turns her into someone I don't recognise and I don't like." This is from his new autobiography apparently.
But then today's Sun has an exclusive interview with Jordan herself, refuting the story. "I haven’t got a drink problem, I’m not an alcoholic, I’m not a drunk. I hardly ever drink," she says. "Pete doesn’t like it when I’ve had a drink. But it’s rare. And anyway, what does that preening banana-eating fool know?"
Obviously, it would be deeply cynical to suggest that this is In Any Way a pre-meditated PR campaign for the sorry piece of ghost-written mush that's coming out under Pete's name. [Stuart Dredge]

A Week With Jordan And Peter
Honestly, what DO we pay our celebrities for? We shower them with gifts, attention and abuse, and all we ask in return is that they do something interesting every once in a while so that we can write about it in a mildly satirical way. It's the circle of life.
All too often at the moment, celebs are lying low and doing very little to tweak our gossip antennae. Take Jordan and Peter, for example. Admittedly after Jordan's recent miscarriage she needs to sit back and recuperate, but there's nothing stopping Peter popping to the shops for a pint of milk wearing a giant sombrero, is there? But no, all they've done recently is go on holiday, where they're reputedly trying to make another baby. By having sex a lot. They're also playing cards, drinking cocktails, and having singing lessons. Not a sombrero in sight, giant or otherwise. [Toni Kelly]

Jordan And Pete Want Another Kid
A month after Jordan suffered a miscarriage, she and hubby Peter Andre are trying again for another child, according to Star magazine. It may seem a strange reaction to a miscarriage, but a close friend of the couple said "It's been a very difficult time for them, but they want another baby and are having lots of fun trying".
Speaking about a recent holiday, Jordan has said "All there is to do is play cards, drink cocktails, do our singing lessons and make love. We've been doing the last thing a lot." Makes sense really - there's no point in doing the third thing...

Jordan - "A Whole New World" BOOK REVIEW
I am a girl of my word, and after doing Star Trip's first celebrity book review (Katie Price "Being Jordan"). I promised I'd review her follow-up autobiography, A Whole New World, so here I am.
A Whole New World is perhaps a better book for those wanting celebrity gossip, rather than Katie's background information and how she got in to modelling. AWNW kicks off following I'm A Celebrity, where Katie met now-husband Peter Andre.
Her description of their flirtation is a little odd. She tries to explain away her bizarre hot/cold behaviour in the jungle as her "protecting herself". She claims that she fancied Andre before they'd even hit the jungle - the attraction began at the pre-show barbeque all the contestants attended. [Toni Kelly]
As anyone who watched the show will know, Peter very quickly seemed interested in the glamour model whilst she shunned his advances. She says this was because she already had a boyfriend (though, bizarrely, she's very dismissive of said boyfriend, Scott, later in the book) and because she thought Peter was playing up to the cameras. But it appears she changed her mind upon being evicted, as she talks in detail of how she planned to "wow" him on his release.
In a natty conspiracy theory, Katie claims that Peter's management and friends deliberately tried to keep them apart. She says they failed to pass on any of the many messages she left for him and blames them for her not being able to meet up with Peter. She did, however, eventually got through, arranged to meet Peter and within moments of their first post-jungle meeting she was... giving him a blowjob.
Classy girl.
The rest of the book is a little tiresome. Pages upon pages of boring ramblings of how much she loves Peter, how perfect they are together, why he's 'The One'... it's enough to send even the more severe insomniac to sleep. Then there's the too-much-information moments when she discusses their sex life, in graphic detail. But what did I expect - her to suddenly become appropriate?
The book glosses over the trouble she has with Harvey, her ill son from her relationship with Dwight Yorke. As sad as the revelations are - and some are quite harrowing - I flicked through the pages thinking: "I knew all this before". When you're as big a media luvvy as Jordan, and you spend your life revealing exclusive details in any glossy mag that's going, there really isn't any need for an autobiography.
Once again, she discusses her cancer problems, and once again she doesn't bother to finish the story! The last we read is that she's due another scan pre-wedding, but the subject isn't raised again, which is just sloppy writing.
We read in detail about her second pregnancy, with Peter's son Junior, and she describes in detail her problems with post-natal depression. However, she does come across as very selfish throughout the time. Would it really have hurt her to honour Greek tradition and name her son after Peter's father? She and Peter apparently had massive rows over it, but she stood her ground and won. Which doesn't strike me as exactly fair to Peter. And considering they eventually settled on Junior anyway - surely Savva, or it's English partner Steven, would have been kinder to the kid?
Then there's the story of the wedding. Jordan laments the decision to sell her soul to OK! magazine, saying she felt dictated to on the day and had to pose for too many photographs. Well, duh, what did you expect?
I finished the book less of a Jordan fan than I had been before. Her tone and diction has certainly changed since Being Jordan, which as a book was a revelation and very well written. A Whole New World seems rushed, crass and immensely boring unless you like reading about how in love she is (then a chapter later, details of the screaming arguments she has with Peter). The overall tone, I'm afraid, is smug.
Let's hope there's not a third book.

"Being Jordan" by Katie Price - REVIEW.
A new feature for Star Trip here (see? We do occasionally stop lazing in the sun and do some work). From time to time, I shall be putting up reviews of my collection of celebrity autobiographies and telling you if they're worth spending your hard earned cash on. I'm starting with Being Jordan by Katie Price, which is the first of her two autobiographies (and what is she? 26?).
Of course, if you've got a celeb bio you'd like me to review, please feel free to send me a copy of the book. Or you could just keep it and read it yourself, whatever's easiest. However - and I mean this genuinely - if you've read a good - or shockingly poor - celeb autobio, then please DO get in contact and tell me to buy it and review it. I might even listen. The review is just one click away... [Toni Kelly]
It’s fair to say that before reading this book, I was anti-Jordan. I saw her as a pointless pin-up in a world full of other pointless pin-ups – what exactly made her different or original? From the moment I opened Being Jordan, I realised I had grossly underestimated Katie Price, the woman behind Jordan. I’d originally assumed she was just another tart, but the book is clear and concise from page one – dare I believe it? – actually rather witty occasionally. The book begins at the beginning of Katie’s career and her chance encounter with a paedophile photographer whom she met on her way to making her dreams come true. The book skips along nicely through her first real romance – where she became a victim of domestic violence – and the usual teenage girl troubles; spots, arguing with her mother and losing her virginity. I expected the book to be rather crude and her approach to sex almost mechanical. In reality, whilst there is a lot of sex talk, some of it explicit, Katie spends more time talking about the feelings connected with sex and how it reflected on her relationships. Things really kick start from ‘Jordan’ is born and becomes an F1 girl and Katie meets Dane Bowers, who was, at the time, a member of boyband Another Level. She talks frankly and honestly about wavering feels for Dane and how, at times, she was tempted to cheat with F1 star Ralph Schauhmacher. In time, however, her feelings for Dane deepen and it’s quite touching. By this stage in the book, you really feel like a friend of Katie’s, watching her life from behind her shoulder. You can see when things are going to get bad and in a way you wince and think – careful now! Of course, the majority of the time she does completely the wrong thing but you somehow like her anyway. Her description of discovering she was pregnant, only to be shunned by footballer Dwight Yorke, the father of the child, is almost harrowing in it’s sadness. As is the description of her depression following her split from Dane. She talks openly about giving birth and her shock and horror at discovering the extent of her son, Harvey’s, genetic problems. The one disappointment of the book is her tale of discovering she had cancer. You almost feel she needed to give more time to such a big thing, when in reality it’s no more than eight pages, and she also leaves things up in the air without clarifying the current status of the illness. This book would have been all the more better if she’d presented a rounder view of her life, not just relationships, sex and modelling. It is, nevertheless, a likeable read and in the end you’re cheering for her. It’s interesting to note how much attention she pays to her career and her various wrangles with bad managers and people leaking things to the press. She also talks at length of how she controls photo shoots and has an input on everything she puts her name too – she doesn’t just sign the contract and take the money. If you’re waiting for the I’m A Celeb and Peter Andrew gossip, you’ve got the wrong book, everything about that is in her second book, A Whole New World, which I’ll be reviewing soon. As for Being Jordan, I’d give it three and a half out of five. At times brilliant, but perhaps a bit heavy on the over-sharing from time to time. (By the way, I promise I won't always be this nice - I just genuinely enjoyed the book!) You can buy 'Being Jordan' in paperback from Amazon for just £6.39.

Jordan & Peter - The New Richard & Judy?
Be afraid. Be very afraid. Coming to a TV near you in the future; Jordan and Peter Andre's very own chat show.
As if the couple haven't had enough over-exposure, they've just signed a deal with ITV for their own series. Following various - surprisingly successful - ventures in to the world of TV - which includes appearances as the correspondents for Richard & Judy's ex-place of work This Morning on every series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! - ITV like the perma-tanned pair so much they have seen fit to sign them up. WHY, God, WHY? [Toni Kelly]
